One of Steph's oldest friends, Taylor has embodied comfort, loyalty, and joy for Steph throughout their 27 year friendship. From playdates to sleep overs, from secret house parties to cottage getaways, Steph and Taylor are guaranteed to have the best time while eating the best food. No one gives better hugs or advice than Taylor. Steph is so lucky to have Taylor by her side on her wedding day, just as Steph did for Taylor when she married her perfect guy in 2021.

Steph met Maggie in junior high. They spent their preteens raising Neopets, sharing a walkman on their way to school, and passing ridiculous notes in class. The two were inseparable throughout high school, often confused for sisters, as people tried and failed to label their unique friendship. Travelling to Europe together during their gap year, and getting into all sorts of shenanigans throughout their time in Toronto, are some of Steph's fondest memories. Steph is over the moon to have Maggie stand by her side on her wedding day just as Steph did for Maggie back in 2015 when she married her soulmate.

While Steph and Jess (or Stiff and Jiss as they were called in New Zealand), go way back to grade 7, their friendship truly bloomed in 2013 when the two of them worked on a cherry farm in B.C. A job that was much more memorable than it was profitable. When Jessie returned from a year in Vietnam, she moved in with Steph to her home on Kent street in Guelph. The two of them were the sisters they each never had. The shared meals, living room dance parties, and tender porch talks are memories Steph will cherish forever. Serendipitously, they both started dating the loves of their lives within a week of each other. They both moved to New Zealand in 2019 to become teachers, navigating one of the most challenging and exciting years of their lives by each other's side. While their paths have taken them to different towns, they are still incredibly happy to be best pals.

Hil is Friday night at 5:00. She is a cold glass of white wine on a long hot day. Her storytelling abilities are matched by her impeccable taste and sense of humour. She's the friend you wanna tell your big news to first. You can count on Hil; for a shoulder to cry on or an event to run smoothly. Steph and Hil's friendship blasted off in Toronto as roommates and has yet to come back to Earth as they remain best of friends, still as spontaneous, though more stable, as they were in their early 20s.

Emma has been a light in Steph's life since the two were in preschool. However that light really began to shine in 2013 when they both attended OCADU. The bond they formed while living together for the next two years is impenetrable. From hitchhiking in B.C. to making art together in Iceland as the country shutdown around them, Emma pushes Steph to take the best kind of risks, ones she will never forget. While they live in different cities now, Emma's light will continue to shine in Steph's life. She is beyond happy to have Emma by her side on her wedding day.

From spontaneous wine dates, to eating and shopping their way through New York City, Emma is Steph's Taurus soulmate. Their friendship blossomed in 2014 while attending OCADU and living together in Toronto. Emma has a tender soul and hilarious sense of humour. She can write a master's level 20 000 word essay while you're sleeping and still meet you for brunch and Caesar's in the morning (this actually happened). Emma is the friend who shows up and cheers you on, while checking to make sure you're good and providing 30+spf sunscreen. Steph is over the moon to have Emma by her side on her big day.

Though it's difficult to pinpoint exactly when Steph and Cate became best buds, it was likely on a dance floor in a hot tent at Hillside in their early 20s. It has been an absolute honour for Steph to witness Cate pursue her dream of becoming a midwife. From Toronto, to Sudbury, to Sarnia, and finally Owen Sound, visiting Cate is one of Steph's favourite things to do. Two Georgian Bay girls who share a love for good chats, good dogs, and good beers. Though the two are living on opposite sides of the Bruce Peninsula, distance will never break the bond they've developed over the past decade.
