Cheers!

It all started on a brisk November day in 2015. Alex's best friend, Barry, had been playing kickball with Laura for several seasons and had invited her to have brunch one Saturday morning. Despite it being in the part of town Laura lived in, she was the last person to arrive and the only seat open was next to Alex. Both Laura and Alex were unsure if they had met before, so they talked as if they were old acquaintances. Alex immediately offered her some mimosa, and Laura knew he was one to keep an eye on. They continued that day with copious amounts of drinks, a trip to the zoo, and ended the night with Alex being a true gentleman and scholar, who needed a lid to stop spilling his water glass on his dear friend Bryan. A few weeks went by, and they met again at the zoo to see Zoo Lights with some friends, where Alex met Laura's mom before they even went on their first date. They saw each other at a few other events and were always drawn to one another. Laura would like to also mention, she beat Alex several times playing the Jurassic Park arcade game. Alex finally asked Laura out after the new year and they went on two dates that following weekend. They met Tom Green (who obviously blessed the union), and they were inseparable ever since. Quite literally inseparable as the next week a huge snowstorm hit DC, and Alex got trapped at Laura's apartment for six days. Seeing as they didn't kill each other after being snowed in so soon in their relationship, they decided to move in that October and added a dog to the family. Laura has taken Alex out of his comfort zone and gotten him to travel more frequently and further than he had in the last decade (aside from his regular family trips to Greece). Alex has taught Laura how to relax and enjoy the simpler things in life. They have shared interests of playing PlayStation games, binge watching Parks and Rec, eating great food, and drinking good wine. They compliment each other in the best of ways.
