Corey and Amber met through a mutual friend, Beth, from church in the fall of 2023. She had approached Amber first and asked if she would be open to letting her give her phone number to a man that she knew through a volunteer project and Faith Life Church in New Albany. What stood out to Amber and Corey was when Beth had approached each of them, she had said that every time she saw Amber she would think of Corey, and everytime she saw Corey she would think of Amber. So both of them took a leap of faith and felt lead by the Lord to step out. For those that know Corey and Amber, both have walked in their singleness for a long time while waiting on the Lord's timing. Both had dated but nothing ever stuck or felt right. However, in their season of singleness, both were pursuing wholeness in themselves through mentorship and seeking the Lord. They officially met on October 4th, 2023 at Johnson's Ice Cream in Bexley. Both knew that there was something special about the other person worth pursuing. On October 10th, they made their relationship official and it has been a whirlwind ever since! Corey and Amber always joke that, "God takes a long time to do something really quick," and that is how they feel their relationship has been . By putting God first, they have grown to love one another wholly and have become best friends. They hope that one day their journey to marriage will give hope and faith to others who are walking in a similar path. And their advice to others in any situation in life is to, "Trust in the Lord, run your race, put him first and let God take care of the rest!"
