We’ll be having a small, private civil ceremony earlier in the week, and there will not be an additional ceremony during the wedding weekend. The wedding weekend will be all celebration — and we’re so excited to spend it with all of our family and friends!
Yes! Friday, October 30 (Welcome Party): We encourage you to dress in Halloween costumes! Any level of formality, silliness, or effort is welcome — the groom is well-known for his low-effort (read: high-creativity) costumes (he has, more than once, dressed as “the road,” wearing all black with white lane-divider stripes taped to his shirt). Saturday, October 31 (Wedding Celebration): Please dress in cocktail attire (e.g. suits, dresses), and be ready to add a touch of woodland whimsy. A selection of adornments — including masks, hats, headbands, ears, and more — will be available at the reception, and we’d love for you to take part in an enchanted forest Halloween evening with us. No need to bring anything — just come dressed in cocktail attire, and opt in to the theme as you like. We always recommend bringing a jacket, shawl, or other outer layer — San Francisco is famous for fog!
The Log Cabin is an indoor venue with a lawn and patio area. Cocktail hour will be held outside, but the rest of the evening will be indoors.
While we love your little ones and love spending time with them, we are keeping our wedding events small and adults-only. Plus, we can't imagine your kid would want to give up trick-or-treating to go to a wedding! :)
If "and guest" or your plus-one's name is written on your wedding invitation, your plus-one is invited.
Yes! We have a block of rooms at a discounted rate at the Jay, Autograph Collection. We also have some other hotel suggestions nearby! Head over to the “Travel” page to see more.
We're so sad to hear that, but we completely understand! Please let us know by September 19 using the "RSVP" tab on this website.
