Emily and Kyra met as freshmen at the University of Washington where they were roommates for over 3 years and have been inseparable ever since. Over the years they have adopted two kittens together and bonded over cute date nights, numerous Target runs, and watching trash TV. Kyra and Emily often joke about sharing a single brain cell, which works overtime remembering all their greatest moments from the past 9 years together.
Alex

Nick and Alex have known each other since freshman year of college at the University of Washington where they bonded over shared confusion of why they had decided to join a fraternity. Alex was Nick’s roommate for 7 years before Nick moved in with Emily. They fondly referred to every room they shared as the “Bud-hole.” If you’re looking for some entertaining stories about Nick, Alex is your guy.
Michelle

Michelle and Emily were the queens of the playground together in elementary school. Taking over the swing sets, the flute section of middle and high school, and now the world with their two pups by their sides. Their black lab mixes, Baloo and Rosa, are also the best of friends and enjoy camping with their two pawrents across Oregon and Washington.

Nick and Mike met freshman year of college at the University of Washington. Mike was the dude who pretended to be from Australia and ran around campus barefoot. Nick thought this was pretty sweet so the two bonded pretty instantly. Mike and Nick lived together for 2 ½ years with Alex Mckennon and Matt Spaw before Nick moved in with Emily. Mike is another excellent resource for funny Nick stories.
Maddie

Maddie first approached Emily in kindergarten about being best friends and has remained a strong supporter for Emily ever since. They learned how to ride bikes into rose bushes, navigate the streets of Seattle, and figured out the tricks of nursing school together. Maddie has a bright and inspiring personality and is a great source of Emily stories through the years.
Jacob

Nick and Jacob met working at Seattle Children's Hospital! Jacob is always down for a good time from general shenanigans to hanging in the "Dood Cave" at Nick and Emily's apartment to training for a marathon with Nick! Jacob has also been Nick's go to tailgate buddy for Husky Football games!
Kara
Bridesmaid
Emily and Kara have known each other since they were baby cousins and getting their ears pierced together. From the University of Washington’s gym to the streets of Seattle, their near weekly “rant runs” and twice running the Seattle half marathon together shows their bond runs deeper than just friends or family. Kara and Emily can typically be found hiking all over Washington, getting take out on the Ave, or drinking boba on Kara’s balcony watching the sun set over Seattle.
Matt

Nick and “Spaw” met early on at the University of Washington. Spaw lived with Nick along with Mike Kastama and Alex Mckennon for 1 ½ years before Nick moved in with Emily. Spaw is always down to do literally anything. Because of this he’s a great climbing partner and adventure buddy for Nick. Like Alex and Mike, Spaw is a great resource of stories about weird things Nick has done.
Gretchen

Emily and Gretchen have been close friends since they could even say the word. Both share a warm love for cooking and caring for others whether that be in their homes or Gretchen's insanely thorough camp kitchen. You can catch them making/eating delicious food, playing games or doing puzzles, or chatting the late night away. Gretch also gives the best hugs!
Navraj

Nick and Navraj met in Nepal back in 2015. Navraj is from Nepal, but studied abroad in the U.S. at Washington State University-Vancouver! The serendipity of this coincidence made an instant bond for the two. Navraj has a heart of gold and an incredible sense of humor.
Jordan

Emily and Jordan bonded over laughing at their partners shenanigans, their love for good books, and trying fun drinks together. Jordan is a beautiful human inside and out, and although their busy lives makes it difficult to see each other often, Jordan constantly inspires Emily with her independence and passion for life. Fun fact: they swam for the same swim team in high school and didn't even know it!
Isaac

Isaac and Nick met working in psychiatry at Seattle Children’s Hospital. The two pioneered “Call Sign Saturdays” where they wear Top Gun shirts in the Emergency room at Children’s. Isaac is both a friend and mentor for Nick when it comes to navigating tricky situations in the Emergency Room. The two can often be found listening to Creed or going off on bizarre nonsensical tangents.

Emily and Claire met through Nick two years ago and quickly bonded over good food, cozy sweaters, and having fun with friends. Claire has an empathetic soul and a warm heart, a great confidant for both Emily and Nick alike. You can catch Emily and Claire splitting a good meal, sharing their latest reads, or hanging out on Nick and Emily's back patio in Seattle.

Daniel and Nick met working in Psychiatry at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Daniel is Nick’s baseball buddy who shares a common “ride or die” attitude about the Seattle Mariners. Daniel is commonly referred to as a “silly goose” and this is incredibly accurate.
Anna

Emily and Anna's bond was forged in fire through the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Seattle Children's - and it showed them just how similar their minds work. That, their 96% Spotify blend match, and their ability to make text messages to each other draw out for weeks. Emily and Anna both enjoy dancing the night away and chatting through sporting events while their partners obsess over the game.

Henry and Nick met working in Psychiatry at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Henry is an awesome friend to Nick and was there when Nick fulfilled his little league baseball dreams as an adult and hit a homerun over the fence at the Lower Woodland Park Ball Field in Seattle.

Emily and AJ met in a bar as acquaintances through Nick and quickly became kindred spirits. They are comfortable talking for hours or sitting side by side independently working/reading. With a shared spirit of adventure, they are known for exploring cool rocks, breweries, and sunsets together.

Josh and Nick met working in psychiatry at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Josh is a goofy, fun, and incredibly passionate friend. From camping to hanging out in the "Dood Cave" or digging French drains, Josh always provides comic relief!

Emily and Mel met through their mutual friend Jackie. Mel is a punny and gentle soul who always reminds Emily to appreciate nature and all it has to offer - Mel will always be down to jump into a chilly lake even if it literally freezes her fingers off.

Jasen and Nick met working in psychiatry at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Jasen and Nick bonded over a love for college football, late nights out after swing shifts, and just general shenanigans. Jasen was working as a traveling mental health technician when the two met, and has been all over the U.S. working in mental health!
Rosa
Good girl
Rosa is Nick and Emily’s playful two year old puppy. They got Rosa when two of their friends, Matt and Rachel, rescued her from the streets of Mexico in 2023. She loves playing with Milo, going on family walks around Seattle, and taking naps on the couch with Nick.
Milo
Good boy
Milo is Nick and Emily’s sweet five year old kitty. They got him from Paws, the cat adoption center, right down the street from them. Milo likes zooming around the apartment, taking long naps, and cuddling with Emily at night.
