Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We’re hoping for an adults-only vibe so everyone can relax and enjoy themselves. But if bringing your kids is the only way you can make it, please do. We’d rather have you there than miss you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Here’s our take on what to wear for both nights. For the welcome party, think stylish summer evening in Madrid with light, breathable outfits that feel polished but relaxed. Women can wear a breezy midi or slip dress or a chic jumpsuit, and men can choose a lightweight button-down and trousers. It is basically "cocktail" if we had to name it, but nothing too formal. For the wedding, dress a bit more elevated in a way that suits a warm July evening while still feeling elegant. Women can wear a cocktail dress or a long gown in airy fabrics, and men can wear a lightweight suit with a tie. If we were labeling it, it would be "formal," but don't stress. It's really just dressing nicely for a summer wedding.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for everyone to arrive just before 8:00 PM local time so we can begin the ceremony right on time.

Question

What if I have a food allergy or dietary preference?

Answer

We are still finalizing the menu and will share the options once everything is confirmed. Guests will be able to choose between meat, fish, vegan, or vegetarian dishes. We are happy to accommodate any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary preferences, which you can indicate when you RSVP.

Question

What will the weather be like in Madrid?

Answer

July is one of the warmest months of the year in Madrid, with plenty of sunshine and clear skies. Daytime temperatures are usually between 30–35°C (85–95°F), while evenings are comfortably warm, around 20–25°C (68–77°F). Is it humid? Madrid’s summer heat is dry, not humid. It feels similar to the climate in places like Southern California or Arizona, rather than the humidity of Florida or New York in summer. The air is warm but comfortable, especially in the evenings. Will it be too hot during the events? The celebrations are planned for the evening, when the temperature is more pleasant. Parts of the wedding will be outdoors, but there will also be indoor spaces with air conditioning to keep everyone comfortable. What should I pack or wear? Light and breathable fabrics are best, such as cotton, linen, silk, or chiffon. Comfortable shoes and sunglasses are great for daytime exploring, and a light wrap or jacket might be useful indoors or later at night.

Question

Is Madrid safe?

Answer

Yes, Madrid is generally a very safe city, even at night. Like any big city, it’s best to stay aware of your surroundings, but violent crime is rare. The main thing to watch out for is pickpockets, especially in crowded tourist areas like Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, or on the metro. Keep your belongings close (a crossbody bag that zips is perfect), and avoid leaving phones or wallets on café tables. Outside of that, you can relax and enjoy. Madrid is lively, welcoming, and full of kind people who are proud to share their city with visitors.

Question

What's the best way to get around?

Answer

Madrid’s metro system is one of the most extensive, efficient, and affordable in the world, and it’s very easy to navigate. If you prefer, you can always hail a taxi (look for the white cars with red stripes) or use Uber to get around the city.
