FAQs

Here you'll find answers to the most common questions about our wedding weekend — from travel and accommodations to dress code and event details. If there's anything we haven't covered, please don't hesitate to reach out — we're happy to help!
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Before August 1, 2026 through our wedding website after formal invitations are sent.

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

We completely understand that work and life can make destination weddings difficult to attend. Once RSVPs are requested, please RSVP "no" at your earliest convenience so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Where will the celebrations take place?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at Kasteel van Laarne, located at 5 Eekhoekstraat, 9270 Laarne. Following the ceremony, join us for the cocktail hour and dinner party at Kasteel Rozelaar, located at Stationsstraat 105, 9080 Lochristi.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. If you are driving, we kindly ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow ample time to find the venue, park, and get settled in your seat. Shuttles will depart from each of the three hotels at 4:00 p.m. to transport guests staying at those locations to the venue.

Question

What time does the party end?

Answer

We plan to dance the night away! While there’s no official end time, festivities will likely wind down around 2:00 AM.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we're so excited to see our family and friends dressed up for the celebrations! For the Welcome Party, we invite you to dress in casual chic attire. For men, this means polos or button-down shirts paired with dress pants—no need for a suit or tie. For women, casual dresses or a nice top with pants will be perfect. Heels are not required—feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable! For the Wedding Day, we kindly request that guests come dressed in black tie attire to help make this celebration even more elegant and memorable. We ask that men wear a tuxedo and ladies wear ankle-length to floor-length dresses. Please refrain from wearing cream or white colors. For any gentlemen wishing to rent tuxedos in Belgium, please visit ___ and simply provide your measurements and pick-up date. We’ve made this process as easy as possible to help with your travel and packing!

Question

Are my children welcome?

Answer

Our wedding events in Belgium are adults-only. While we warmly welcome you to bring your children on your trip, we kindly ask that you arrange childcare for all wedding-related events.

Question

Can I bring a "plus one"?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we are keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We kindly ask that all our guests stay at one of the recommended hotels. These have been carefully selected to provide the best experience, with each being conveniently located near the venues. We've partnered with these properties to offer exclusive rates, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for everyone.

Question

How do I book my room?

Answer

To take advantage of our special room rate, please be sure to book your stay through our dedicated booking link. We recommend reserving your room as early as possible to ensure availability. Please visit the "Lodging" page to reserve your room.

Question

When should I book my hotel and my flight?

Answer

For booking your hotel, we recommend booking through our dedicated booking link as soon as you can to secure the lowest rate. For booking your flight, we recommend booking at least 3-4 months prior to the wedding day. We kindly ask that all guests plan to arrive in Belgium by Thursday, September 10th, and stay through Sunday, September 13th, 2026, in order to join us for the full wedding celebration. We recommend departing on Monday, September 14th, to allow guests to fully enjoy the wedding evening and have the following day to rest and recover, especially since flights are typically scheduled for early morning. Guests are welcome to arrive earlier or extend their stay either in Belgium or another destination in Europe.

Question

How do I get from the hotel to the venue?

Answer

Shuttles will be provided to and from each of the three hotels to the wedding venue for your convenience. You’ll be transported from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and dinner, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the day. After the celebration, shuttles will run again from 12:00 - 2:00 AM to take guests back to their respective hotels. Please check the schedule for specific pick-up times at your hotel. There is no need for transportation on the day of the Welcome Party as the venue will be walking distance from all three hotels.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

No, this is not necessary, as transportation will be provided to the venues. Additionally, guests will have access to Ubers and trains for travel to and from the hotel. For those interested in exploring other cities or countries before or after the wedding festivities, trains are a convenient and enjoyable option.

Question

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

Answer

Guests can easily travel from the airport to the hotel by either Uber or train. For those flying into Brussels Airport, Ubers are readily available. If you're arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol or Paris Charles de Gaulle, we recommend taking the train for a convenient and scenic journey to Belgium. Please visit our "Transportation" page for detailed directions and train schedules from Brussels, Amsterdam, and Paris airports.

Question

Are you signed up with a wedding registry service?

Answer

Your love and well-wishes are the most important gifts of all. If you would like to contribute in another way, a monetary gift or any item off of our registry will help us as we plan for our future together.

Question

What is the typical weather like in September?

Answer

In general, the weather tends to be mild, with daytime temperatures averaging between 15°C (59°F) and 20°C (68°F). Nights can be cooler, with temperatures often dipping down to around 10°C (50°F). It’s also a transitional month, so there can be a mix of sunny days and occasional rainfall.
