Jamaican food in Mexico? We're trying to tell you, they have everything here! If you need a break from the endlessly delicious assortment of tacos and Mexican flavors the city offers, take it to the island one time!
Great market for trinkets/souvenirs. (CASH IS KING)
While we hate the idea of inviting you to stand in a line for food, these tacos are unreal (vegetarian options as well). The play is to get there just before they open at 1pm for the shortest wait. When they open (which is not always 1 on the dot), things move quickly because it's standing-only counter service.
This one is for those who want to make the absolute most of the trip: It's a half day trip that starts the night before (gotta go to bed at a decent hour). They pick you up at 4:30 in the morning and drive you about an hour outside of the city. You enjoy coffee/pastries and watch the sunrise while they fill up the hot air balloons. And then comes one of the most magical experiences you could ever imagine. The ride is never scary or turbulent and they take you up really slowly. Also, they feed you brunch when you come down, and there's an option to tour the ruins you sail over as well. You're back in the city by early-mid afternoon. 10/10 experience, cannot recommend enough.
