Camilla & Rebecca met in June 2018 while both were working for Georgia Tech. Camilla knew early on Rebecca was someone she needed to know; Rebecca was pretty clueless. In January 2019, they started spending a bit more time together outside of work, and soon thereafter they went on their first official date. Camilla & Rebecca were dating! Over the course of the next several months, Rebecca & Camilla spent weekends traveling together, going to Charleston; watching the USWNT soccer team Nashville; going to the Highland Games in Blowing Rock; seeing the USWNT again in Charlotte, and visiting with Rebecca's sister in Birmingham. What made these trips meaningful for Camilla & Rebecca’s relationship were the hours spent in the car together, talking, telling stories, and deeply getting to know one another - their hopes and fears, values and loves, and priorities and plans. Rebecca & Camilla moved in together in September 2019. They enjoy taking their dogs, Avery and Jayne, for walks; watching Netflix (especially documentaries on cults and true crime); playing board games; and cooking together. While quarantined at home due to COVID, Rebecca proposed to Camilla with donuts from their favorite donut shop in Atlanta. Attending via Zoom to surprise Camilla were her sisters and best friends. Soon thereafter, Camilla proposed to Rebecca with a puzzle and Harry Potter ring box, and later, a surprise physically distanced drive-by congratulations from Rebecca’s best friend. After nearly three years together in Atlanta, Rebecca and Camilla recently moved to Chicago! Camilla & Rebecca look forward to welcoming you to celebrate their love and future together. Rebecca & Camilla will count on their friends and family over the course of their marriage to cherish and nurture them; they can’t wait to celebrate their love, partnership, and commitment to one another, and the blending of the most important people in their lives - you!
