Whiteface Mountain
If you are looking for a nice view and opportunities for hiking, whiteface is a great place to start! You can either drive all the way up or park at the ski resort and take the ski lift to the lower summit!
High Falls Gorge
Just a short drive from Lake Placid and one mile from Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort. We haven't been there yer but it seems to be a 30 min walk attraction featuring waterfalls. I have heard their restaurant is actually pretty good!
Mount Van Hoevenberg
RIDE THE LONGEST COASTER IN NORTH AMERICA! As you ride to the top, you’ll learn about the Olympic history of the track. Once at the peak, you’ll be in the driver’s seat, controlling the speed as you zoom alongside the historic 1980 bobsled track, navigating sharp corners, cliffside banks, and long winding stretches.
Lake Placid Olympic Museum
A fun fact about Lake Placid is that the city is a 2x Winter Olympic Host City. If you like museums, this can be a good opportunity to see a large collection of olympic items

Hiking Reccomendations
Here are some nice hikes ordering from shortest to longest: Mt Jo Indian Head (Very popular and requires reservation) Pitchoff Mountain Cascade Mt
