We met in February 2017, the first day at my current job. It was funny that Casey still remember all the details since the very first day. He told me that he requested to one of our coworkers, after I was introduced to him, to put a good word about him. On the other hand, I still cannot remember being introduced to him that day. After a couple of months, we ended up going on a date, and started our relationship. We maintained the relationship secret from everyone in the company for about two years, and we made it public right after Casey submitted his resignation letter for his new job. During that time, It was really interesting, that multiple coworkers considered us to make a good couple, and they tried to arrange dates for the two of us, while we were already secretly dating.

After two years and some months dating, learning about each other, growing up professionally and personally, rising our little furbaby Simba Mario, and sharing so many moments together, I came home on Friday, August the 16th 2019. I was laying in bed with my mom, when I suddenly saw Casey in the balcony screaming that he was feeling crazy that day. I got kind of concern, and I went to ask him if he wanted to do something that night. He was standing on the balcony looking at the sunset, and he suddenly hugged me, and asked me if I was happy. At that moment, I felt like "why are you asking me this?", and I said "yes, I am happy". After I said "yes", I turned to see his face, and he slowly moved his arm towards me with the ring in his hand, and bended his knee. When he asked me "do you want to marry me". I was like, OMG! I didn't know what to say, I was completely in shock. For a moment, I though he was joking, I didn't know what to say. I started crying, and It took me sometime until he asked me again "if that was a yes?", and then I said " Yes, Yes". The best thing about the proposal is that it was really private, and we didn't have anyone around to take pictures, so it is a memory only for the two of us. It was the biggest surprise I ever had in my life. It couldn't be more perfect, I was at home, with my mom, Simba, and him, and I loved it.

We decided to get married in Cartagena, Colombia because it is Camila’s home town, and we would like to share with all of you a piece of where Camila comes from. We come from different cultures, and languages, but our love makes us one. We know that any of you, if you decide to travel and share with us, would love the city, and since it is going to be winter here in the US, and Europe, you are going to love to have some warm weather and great food too!
