Wedding Eve Sunset Social

***PLEASE NOTE ADDRESS UPDATE*** Due to beach renourishment construction on the main Lido Key Beach, we will meet at the SOUTH LIDO BEACH PARK ON THE GULF, 2198 Benjamin Franklin Dr, Sarasota, FL 34236. Follow signs to Ted Sperling Park at South Lido Beach. This is a casual, unstructured night in lieu of a rehearsal dinner. Please dress casually and appropriate for the beach. We recommend shorts, T-Shirts, sunglasses/hats, and flip-flops or other sandals. If you choose to swim in the Gulf, please bring your own beach towel. We will provide Chipotle and bring our beach balls, frisbees, and other casual games. Also, we will have beginner-level yoga around 7:00 p.m. Parking may be limited, so we recommend carpooling and rideshares (Uber, Lyft, etc.). No alcohol is permitted at this beach.

Wedding Day Welcome

Please park at City Island Park, 1799 Ken Thompson Pkwy, Sarasota, FL 34236, which is immediately adjacent to the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. At this gathering, we will provide light refreshments and snacks to guests. The purpose is for all guests to come to the Sarasota Sailing Squadron to facilitate transportation to and from the ceremony location. We encourage guests to socialize and mingle with one another; James and Brenna will not be present. The first shuttle to the ceremony will depart at 5:00 p.m. Please be ready to board so that we may transport all guests to the ceremony in a timely fashion.
Shuttles to Ceremony Location
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
We will provide shuttle transportation from the Sarasota Sailing Squadron to our wedding ceremony location on South Lido Key Beach. The shuttle will make two trips. Please be timely. If any guests miss the second and final shuttle, we will not be able to accommodate them. Individuals of mature age and families with small children will be given priority to take the second shuttle to minimize wait time on the hot beach.
Wedding Ceremony
6:00 pm - 6:30 pm

***PLEASE NOTE ADDRESS UPDATE*** Due to beach renourishment construction, our ceremony will occur at South Lido Beach Park on the Gulf. The shuttles will transport guests from the meeting point at the Sarasota Sailing Squadron to our ceremony location. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. We will have mats for guests to sit on for before and after the ceremony, but we ask the guests that are able to please stand for the duration of the ceremony. The dress code is casual. The weather is anticipated to be quintessentially Floridian: hot, humid, and sunny. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and the beach. We strongly recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, sandals/flip-flops, and the like. Please keep cellphones turned off and put away for the duration of the ceremony.
Shuttles to Reception Location
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Once the ceremony ends, we will provide shuttle transportation from Lido Key Beach to the Sarasota Sailing Squadron for our reception. Individuals of mature age and families with small children will be given priority on the first bus.
Reception

Time to celebrate our marriage! We will have a DJ, open bar, and Carraba's. During the reception, James and Brenna will do a short toast. Wanting to keep this reception simple and relaxed, we decided to forego bridal party introductions, first dance, dances with parents, toasts from friends or family, or a send-off. We would rather spend the night with our family and friends! Drinks containing liquor must be enjoyed outdoors only. Please drink responsibly; guests are responsible for their own transportation after the reception.
