Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know by April 10th about your attendance at both events (Welcome Event and Wedding) so we can plan accordingly

Question

What area should I stay in?

Answer

We recommend staying in Durham or Hillsborough. The welcome party Friday will be in / near downtown Durham and the venue is in Hillsborough so most options in these areas will have a max drive time of 20-25 minutes for any given day. If you think you'll want to go out / go to bars after the wedding, Durham is the better choice. Chapel Hill is also a viable area if you don't mind a little more drive time (~30 mins).

How do I get to and from the venue?

Answer

Please plan to arrange your own transportation or drive. There is ample parking available at the venue for those who plan to drive. Cars can be left overnight and picked up Sunday morning. Depending on where you are staying, rideshares (uber, lyft) will probably be available to get to the venue. However, since the venue is a little farther out, we recommend booking a taxi to leave the venue as rideshares are less likely to be available. The wedding will end at 11pm and the venue requires guests to leave by 11:30pm so please plan your transport accordingly. Bull City Cab or S&H Transport are great local options.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The welcome event will be casual, though feel free to dress up if you'd like! The wedding day attire is Springtime Cocktail. Windy Hill is a farm and while the reception is covered, we'll be in the open-air all day, so definitely check the temperature to assess if you need to bring a light jacket for the evening. Ladies, we'd recommend block heels over stilettos for the grass.

Are kids invited?

Answer

The wedding on Saturday will be an adults-only celebration, but they are more than welcome to join for the gathering on Friday. If you plan to bring your kids Friday, please include them in the headcount when you RSVP.
