Christmas Day 2023; I confirmed all final moving pieces for the Proposal. Everything was perfect, I could feel anxious excitement building while opening presents. I knew that tomorrow all the coordinating and planning would come together at Seeley Park; the same place I spent the day with her whole family years ago. The day at the park, we stood on this bridge looking over the ducks on the pond. While standing there, she looked at the water and I looked at her; at that moment,I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Alexis.
As many of you know Alexis is very intuitive; the plan had many parts to distract her. Ana (her mother) and I brought up the idea of family photos as a “misdirection" months before December to keep her off the trail. Moments before the meetup time everyone in her family had something “come up” leading Alexis, Antony(her brother) and I to head to the photoshoot and meet the photographer alone while we waited for the others to arrive.
