Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Allison Cambra and Alexander DeTolla
Luckily for all involved, Stowe is packed with things to do. Want to enjoy outside? Want to have a beer? Want to have a beer outside? It's all possible. Here are our recommendations/local favorites:

Stowe Pinnacle Trailhead

Upper Hollow Road, Stowe, VT 05672

Stowe Pinnacle can be hiked one of two ways: either from the trailhead on Upper Hollow Road (3.6 miles round-trip) or from the Pinnacle Meadows lot, which shortens the full hike by about a mile (2.6 miles round-trip).

Stowe Recreation Path

Stowe Recreation Path, Stowe, VT 05672

The Stowe Recreation Path is a popular paved path in Stowe, Vermont, offering year-round opportunities for walking, biking, and running. It's known for its scenic beauty and is considered an easy route, averaging about 3 hours and 12 minutes to complete.

Smugglers' Notch State Park

6443 Mountain Road, Stowe, VT 05672

Smugglers' Notch State Park offers a scenic drive along Route 108 through a narrow mountain pass between Mount Mansfield and the Sterling Range. The drive is known for its dramatic scenery, including rock outcroppings and towering cliffs.

Gondola Skyride

7416 Mountain Road, Stowe, VT 05672

Offers scenic rides up Mount Mansfield, the highest peak in Vermont, with breathtaking panoramic views, especially during the fall foliage season. Hikers can also take a free ride down.

The Alchemist Brewery

100 Cottage Club Road, Stowe, VT 05672

This was a staple in our wedding planning journey- The Alchemist is a family-owned brewery known for its highly sought-after craft beers, particularly the Heady Topper Double IPA. They also have a production-only brewery in Waterbury, Vermont.

Von Trapp Brewing & Bierhall

1333 Luce Hill Road, Stowe, VT 05672

This was the stop that we cherish most from our first trip to Vermont years ago- it is so special to us and we'd love to share that with you. Von Trapp Brewing is an Austrian-style brewery and beer hall known for its signature lagers and classic Austrian dishes. The brewery was founded in 2010 by Johannes von Trapp, the youngest son of Maria and Captain von Trapp of "The Sound of Music" fame.

Idletyme

1859 Mountain Road, Stowe, VT 05672

This was our first stop after deciding on our wedding venue! Located in a historic building, Idletime has been a gathering place for centuries. It offers a cool atmosphere, a comfortable interior and outdoor patio seating. They brew a variety of beers on-site, combining European brewing traditions with Vermont's hop culture.

Stowe Cider

17 Town Farm Lane, Stowe, VT 05672

With all of the great breweries in town, it's awesome to have the option for something a little different...cue Stowe Cider. Offering a "Core Lineup" of ciders, as well as some barrel-aged options and seasonal ciders, Stowe Cider is only a short drive from our hotel.

Ben & Jerry’s

1281 Waterbury-Stowe Road, Waterbury, VT 05676

Ben and Jerrys originated in Vermont! Tour their factory and grab a pint or seven. It goes without saying but this is totally worth it.

Copley Country Club

441 Copley Country Club Road, Morristown, VT 05661

Located in the nearby historic village of Morrisville, Copley Country Club is a 9-hole public golf course situated on 38 rolling acres of the bright green stuff. Grab lunch or a quick afternoon snack at the on-site Copley Bar & Grill, which overlooks what has been called one of the most beautiful panoramic public courses in the state.

Stowe Country Club

744 Cape Cod Road, Stowe, VT 05672
, (802) 760-4653

Stowe Country club is a beautiful 18-hole course nestled into the Stowe landscape. The rugged design of The Mountain Course at Spruce Peak reaches an elevation of more than 1,800 feet and features rock outcroppings, wildlife at every glance, and sweeping views of both Spruce Peak and Mt. Mansfield.
