Maid of Honor
Hannah is Laney’s cousin and best friend. With an age gap of just two weeks, the two have always been inseparable - and occasionally insufferable to those around them. As kids, they tried to convince everyone they were twins, despite looking nothing alike. Hannah was also Laney’s first performance partner, staging long, improvised recitals for unsuspecting family members and raiding their moms’ expensive makeup. Hannah is incredibly witty, deeply kind, selfless, and brilliant. Laney is so proud of Hannah. She’s more like a sister than a cousin, and Laney feels incredibly lucky to have her by her side - not just for this moment, but for every chapter of life, past, present, and future.
Bridesmaid
Keeley is Laney’s beloved baby sister (though she’s not much of a baby anymore). From the moment Keeley was born, Laney’s world changed. Watching her grow into such a funny, intelligent, hardworking, and beautiful person has been one of the greatest joys of Laney’s life. Getting to witness every milestone in someone else’s life is a rare and special gift, and Laney feels deeply honored to have Keeley by her side as she celebrates one of her own.
Bridesmaid
Emily entered Laney’s life at her absolute prime - 16 years old. Emily has been dating Laney’s brother for 10 years and is the best decision Reilly has ever made. Laney used to think Reilly was the smartest person ever until Emily came around and blew that theory completely out of the water. She is hilarious, kind, patient, and the first big sister Laney ever had. She knows Laney better than almost anyone. Having Em by her side on her wedding day is an honor and a necessity as she is one of the few people that can calm Laney down just by being present.
Bridesmaid
Jordan is Cam’s adored big sister. Early on, Cam mentioned - half joking, half serious - that Jordan could be “intimidating”. But from the moment Laney met her, she knew she had hit the jackpot. Jordan is fiercely loyal, endlessly patient, loving, and funny. She’s also a Hokie, which is an added bonus. Laney feels lucky beyond words to be welcomed into her world. She hopes to someday be even half the mother Jordan is - and is forever grateful that Jordan helped shape the man Cam is today.
Bridesmaid
Camryn was the first “Cam” Laney ever loved. They met in French class in seventh grade and quickly became top of the class rivals - and even quicker friends. From that point on, you rarely saw one without the other. Cam became part of Laney’s family, and Laney became part of hers. They truly grew up together, and to this day, no one knows Laney quite like Cam does. She’s absolutely brilliant (for real - she went to Duke and is now an actual doctor), incredibly funny, wonderfully quirky, and endlessly kind. Having Cam by Laney’s side was the easiest decision in the world.
Bridesmaid
Laney and Jordyn met in ballet class when they were just three years old. On the very first day, Laney made Jordyn cry by teasing her for wearing the wrong color tights - a beautiful start to what became a lifelong friendship. Countless nights were spent at the Stoessel house, and many of Laney’s favorite memories from those years include Jordyn by her side. Jordyn is one of the most talented, driven, protective, and hilarious people Laney has ever known. She would do anything for the people she loves and has taught Laney so much through her loyalty, humor, and heart.
Bridesmaid
Laney and Sav met in Mr. Leshnick’s fourth grade class and have been best friends ever since. From their “fancy sleepovers” complete with charcuterie boards and microwaveable brownies, to their water balloon babies (which occasionally exploded and ruined important documents), to late-night dance parties and mother-daughter lunch dates - their friendship grew into something unshakable. Sav is the most fabulous person Laney knows. Her poise, work ethic, and sharp sense of humor are just a few of the qualities Laney admires most. She’s deeply loyal, wise beyond her years, and has been a constant in Laney’s life for as long as she can remember.
Bridesmaid
Mak and Laney met during their first week of college when they were both accepted into their extremely revered collegiate a cappella group. Their freshman “class” quickly became inseparable, calling themselves the Fab Five - a name that’s stuck ever since. Mak and Laney did everything together throughout college, and kept the tradition going by moving to Nashville after graduation. Mak was by Laney’s side the night she met Cam and has been there for every milestone since. She’s the first person Laney texts with exciting news or when she needs a shoulder to cry on. Mak has built her own close bond with Cam, and she’s one of their most treasured friends. Mak is more than a friend - she’s family. Kind, intentional, hilarious, and loyal, she holds a special place in Laney and Cam’s lives and always will.
Bridesmaid
Lily, a fellow member of the Fab Five and Laney’s very first friend in college, has played an incredibly meaningful role in Laney’s life. On the night they met, Lily confidently declared, “I think we’re going to be friends. Let’s live together next year.” And she was right. Laney, Lily, and her now-husband Ethan built their own little family in their Blacksburg apartment, sharing countless small moments and major milestones together. When Lily and Ethan got married at Laney’s family home, Laney was honored to stand by her side. Lily is a friend for life. She is loyal, loving, and fierce in the best way. Laney couldn’t feel luckier to have her in her corner.
Bridesmaid
Another beloved member of the Fab Five, Brooke is absolutely adored by Laney. She’s truly one of a kind. Laney has often said, “Brooke is as close to perfect as you can get” - and she means it. Brooke is a constant light: deeply empathetic, effortlessly hilarious, and the best kind of person to have by your side through both the fun and the tough moments. When Cam met her, he told Laney, “you being friends with Brooke makes you way cooler”. Laney wasn’t offended because she knows it’s true. Brooke is an extraordinary friend, and Laney feels so blessed to have her in her life.
Bridesmaid
Rounding out the Fab Five is Meaghan - Laney’s on-call doctor and the one person she can always count on for the unfiltered truth. Meags is brilliant, incredibly hardworking, and her laugh is one of Laney’s favorite sounds in the world. She’s selfless, kind, and refreshingly honest, with a heart as big as her brain. Laney trusts Meaghan and looks to her for comfort and just the right dose of reality in any situation. As Meaghan gets ready for her own wedding next May, Laney couldn’t be more thrilled to pass the baton and celebrate her the way she’s been celebrated.
Bridesmaid
Laney met Sam after landing a spot on the aforementioned a cappella group (of which Sam was the president). From the start, Sam took Laney under her wing. To put it simply - Sam chose Laney, and Laney chose Sam. They were both a little tightly wound, a little loud, and completely in love. As they’ve grown older, and maybe slightly calmer, they’ve clung to each other through it all. Sam has loved Laney through all her phases and has taught her how to be unapologetically herself. Sam is truly the funniest person Laney knows and someone she deeply admires. It feels only right that Laney is getting married just three months after Sam - still following her lead.
Bridesmaid
Little college freshman Laney fell asleep on Christina the very first night they met and from that moment on, Christina has been her safe place. As Laney’s “big” in their a cappella group, Christina has looked out for her from the beginning and still does to this day. She’s sharp-witted, deeply kind, and effortlessly calming - qualities that have made her one of Laney’s most cherished friends. Their bond was instant and has only grown stronger with time. Laney feels so fortunate to have a lifelong friend in Christina.
Bridesman
Jon Walker is the most electric person Laney has ever met. From the moment they met freshman year (actually right next to her while she was asleep on Christina), Laney was instantly attached to his hip and, often, his lips - they do love to kiss. Jon is more than just fun-loving and magnetic- he’s deeply intellectual, emotionally in tune, and endlessly kind. He treats his friends like family and keeps everyone laughing with his sharp, effortless humor. Anytime Laney was on stage in college, she would look for Jon in the audience to comfort her and ease her nerves. Beloved in every circle he’s part of, Jon has left an indelible mark on Laney’s life, and she truly wouldn’t be who she is without him.
Officiant
Laney and Adam met in college and immediately connected on a profound level. Adam is the most emotionally intelligent person Laney knows, and their conversations, often hours long, are some of the most meaningful of her life. He is a once-in-a-lifetime friend, and Laney cherishes him deeply. When Adam met Cam, their friendship was instant. Adam has a rare gift for understanding people, sometimes without them saying a word, and both Laney and Cam feel completely seen by him. They couldn’t imagine anyone more perfect to marry them.
Best Woman
As both the Best Woman and a bridesmaid, Hannah is the ultimate double-dipper. Cam met Hannah when they were two years old, and they’ve been like siblings ever since. Their bond only grew stronger when Hannah moved in with Cam in Nashville, becoming even more of a constant in each other’s lives. When Laney came into the picture, Hannah welcomed her with open arms - and they quickly became best friends. (Laney even has some Hannah art tattooed on her!) Hannah is family, and Laney and Cam cherish her deeply. She’s the kind of friend who would go to the ends of the earth for the people she loves. Quirky, kind, and effortlessly fun, Hannah is one of the most lovable people you’ll ever meet. Laney and Cam feel endlessly lucky to have her in their lives and by their sides on their wedding day.
