How We Met

First comes philosophy, then comes marriage.

Those two kids in a general education philosophy class would have never suspected they'd be here now. Eric and Caly met in 2019 while attending college together in San Diego, specifically in philosophy class. Caly sat in the back and was chronically early every day, whereas Eric was always about ten minutes late. According to Eric, he liked showing up late every day because Caly would always look up and smile at him (more like shoot daggers at him). It took an entire semester of this before Caly finally made the first move by sliding into his DMs, asking, "Are we gonna do this or what?" The rest was history. Caly & Eric's first date was six hours long, and even when they said goodbye, Eric asked if she wanted to hang out again...Caly then stayed at his house for three days. The two thankfully passed philosophy class, but Eric still showed up late every day to see Caly look up at him.

The Already Bendyks

We DID!

Did you know that Caly & Eric are already married? The two "legally" tied the knot on New Year's Eve 2024 in their living room, surrounded by only a couple of close friends. The couple got engaged in March of 2024; however, because of some personal and professional opportunities, they had to put a pause on planning their dream wedding. Caly had accepted her dream job working on the Brand Marketing team for a luxury Napa Valley winery, & Eric was in the process of promoting to Engineer. These two have always lived life to the beat of their own drum, though, and didn't want to wait another day to spend forever together. They asked their close friend, Emily, to get ordained and signed their marriage license right before the clock struck midnight. Now, they can't wait to stand before their loved ones and once again declare their love for each other!
