Carpinteria State Beach
For those of you unfamiliar with Santa Barbara/Carpinteria beaches, there are naturally occurring pieces of tar mixed in with the sand that can sometimes get stuck to your feet. It is helpful to have some baby oil or other type of oil and paper towel with you to remove the tar. If you happen to use a towel to attempt to get tar off, it will permanently stain fabric and may affect your cleaning fee especially when staying in an AirBnB/VRBO.
