There is no better friend than a sister, and Lee has loved and supported Jess throughout the years in a way that only a big sister can. Married to our favourite Greek, Stel, Lee is also the mom to beautiful flower girls' Sofia and Sirena. There's no question that she'll be the warmest, loveliest person you'll meet at the wedding. Her smile is infectious and if you see her at the bar she'll deserve huge cheers for keeping Jess's nerves at bay. Whilst excelling and shattering glass ceilings as Mac Eden's Managing Director by day when it comes to this wedding her business will be on the dancefloor!

Having met in the trenches of Michaelis School of Fine Art, Mia - photographer, sound artist and the queen of all things aesthetically beautiful quickly became a firm friend throughout Jess's varsity journey. Finding solace between studies in copious glasses of Sauvignon Blanc (that they probably couldn't afford) and Jaime Oliver recipes this was a friendship set in the stars. Mia is as creative as she is driven and is also an extremely talented violinist - if you want to know what your rising star sign is or be inspired by interdisciplinary art practices, this bridesmaid is where it's at!

Deciding in high school to be 'Best Friends' on a whim, Tiyon and Jess both ended up going to UCT and living 10 minutes down the road from each other. Tiyon (also fiancé to our groomsman Seeps) is a bright accountant, can plan anything on an excel spreadsheet and quite honestly is the only person we've met to describe 'sparkly' as a colour. Tiyon has an incredible way of making everyone feel included, she goes to a tremendous effort for those close to her and her bubbly personality is a pleasure to be around. A wedding cake connoisseur, she'll be quick to let you know if it's worth having a second piece or to hit the bar for a good glass of red instead!

After five years of boarding school together, Sam's natural encouraging and supportive nature formed a special part of Jess's family away from home. Time apart during their university studies didn't make a dent on their friendship but that's not to say they didn't pop the Champagne when Sam was placed for her residency at Groote Schuur hospital this year. Whilst being one of the most hard-working and responsible friends Jess has, she is also a firecracker on the dancefloor and will keep the party going through the night!
Bianca Bell

Affectionately known as 'little homie', Bee is a fun-loving beauty that has been a wonderful friend to Jess and Nate throughout their relationship. Having made instant friends on their first day of art school, Bee and Jess have set off on many adventures together from late nights in the studio to making the boot of a car into a mini dark room on the side of the road in Gordons Bay. Having asked her advice if Jess should go on another date with this 'Nate guy' - it's safe to say, in saying yes, Bee gave the right answer! Travelling all the way from her current adventure in Vietnam to be with us, Bee brings with her an energy that always keeps the mood light and fun while being ready to celebrate the day and make it a treasured memory.

Growing up in a small town means you make your own fun. Living 300 metres down the road from each other, Nate and Ben spent A LOT of time together in their then trendy flame patterned boardshorts (Gotta miss the 90's). Whether it was swimming in the back yard, cycling around the town or playing sport together Ben and Nate were always up for anything. Ben's passion for adventure and seizing every day to its fullest makes him a fervent friend to all who are on his level, and to those who aren't. No matter how much time or distance sits between them, Ben's friendship has been a constant in Nate's life undoubtedly making him the 'Best Man'.

Matt and Nate could be the same person if a sense of humour was the only thing that determined personality. Luckily it isn't, or everyone would be in hysterical laughter the whole day because they are so funny (or so they say). Matt is a terrible liar, a great guitarist and a life-long friend who is humble in his greatness and has the ability to master anything he sets his mind to.
Seeps Evans

Our Fiancee's, claim to be "Best Friends" but they only seem to spend time together when Seeps and I make a plan to have a Braai, watch sport, hangout or spend a good portion of our weekend playing golf together. Seeps is the epitome of a gentleman and is an incredible sportsman. He invests in people and the returns show vividly when he is surrounded by his friends. If you're a sport-lover and need a guy to commiserate over the latest score (of any game) Seeps is your man.
Dr. Adam van Niekerk

Nate met Adam in his first week at University. Long haired and scruffy in a t-shirt that had a bad pun on it, Adam told Nate that after their engineering degree he would study Bio-Medical Engineering. After knowing him for a few weeks and seeing him hurl himself at bicycle jumps and kitesurfing airs Nate wasn't sure if he would make it through the degree alive. Nevertheless, as of 2019, Adam has graduated with a PhD in the Bio-Medical field. He is probably the wackiest (for lack of a more all-encompassing word) friend Nate has and is most likely the person with the highest IQ at the wedding, but don't let that intimidate you - if you're a lover of craft beer, good wine or bad puns you'll get along swimmingly.
