In an 80's music nightclub called Boogie, an unexpected encounter lead one Fine Art Student and one almost graduate Mechanical Engineer to go on a date at Knead Bakery the following day. One date lead to another until it was difficult to imagine a day that we weren't a part of eachothers lives.

Fast forward four and a half years of dating and having found a cosy home in Observatory Cape Town, we finally had the cash saved up for our first overseas holiday! Five days into our glorious Greece vacation, on the small island of Folegandros we took a 20min walk/hike to an even smaller private beach called Katergo. With a beautiful setting and the bliss of island romance, we attempted a 'dirty dancing' lift on the beach and captured it on video. Nate suggested doing another lift just for 'kicks' and seconds into my runner-up he was down on one knee with the ring in hand - of course, I said yes!
