In March 2021, fate brought Pat and Callie together in the most modern way — through Bumble! At 28 and 26, they swiped right at just the right moment, and from that first connection, something special began to bloom. Despite a few hiccups, including a snowboarding delay that kept Pat in Vail, they finally managed to meet in person that April at a local Denver dive bar, Milwaukee Street Tavern. Their connection was instant, and the night went so well they couldn’t wait to see each other again, sharing a lovely dinner at a Thai restaurant the very next night. Pat had recently moved to Denver, navigating life without a car and staying in a less-than-ideal Airbnb, but Callie thankfully chose to look past those red flags. Though they both tried to keep their dating options open, it quickly became clear they only wanted to be with each other. After a long, memorable day that began with sunrise yoga at Red Rocks, they opened up to one another, sharing a heart-to-heart that made them realize they were meant to be together. As time passed, their connection only deepened. Pat bonded with Callie’s "soul dog" Asher, who instantly warmed to him, and Callie became close with Pat’s sister, Meg. Pat and Callie spent their days exploring Denver, hiking, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Pat passed the vibe test with Callie’s friends, while Callie was welcomed with open arms by Pat’s closest circle. A truly special moment came during Callie’s sister’s wedding, when — for the first time — Callie accidentally told Pat she loved him. Despite Callie’s greatest fears, Pat returned the sentiment later that night, marking a beautiful point in their relationship. That weekend, Pat met Callie’s family, and soon after, Callie met Pat’s during Thanksgiving. Both were embraced with warmth and love. After two wonderful years together, it became clear they were ready for the next chapter. They moved in together, excited to create a future as partners. On Memorial Day Weekend, during a hike to Lookout Mountain — the site of one of their first dates — Pat (finally!) proposed. Callie, completely surprised and overjoyed, said yes, beginning the next beautiful chapter of their story. Their engagement was celebrated with family and friends, including a surprise party in Wisconsin hosted by Callie’s family. Now, as they plan their wedding, Pat and Callie are filled with excitement for the future. They look forward to a lifetime of love, adventure, and partnership, and can’t wait to celebrate their journey with the people who have supported them along the way!
