The guest attire for wedding day is semi-formal, mid to long dresses for women and suits for men. A light jacket or sweater is recommended as it can get chilly at night in the mountains.
ASAP - The Town of Vail and the Lodge at Vail is a very popular hotel and will likely sell out over our weekend. A discounted rate is available at the hotels we have listed in the Travel Tab. We recommend booking early to ensure hotels have availability.
Yes! Shuttles will provide transportation to the wedding venue on July 10th for all guests. Camp Hale is about 30 minutes from Vail with winding highway driving and is not recommended. Shuttles will pick up outside The Lodge at Vail at 4:30pm for the 5:30pm ceremony. The shuttle will make loops beginning at 8pm until the event ends at 11pm. For your convenience in regards to transportation, we recommend staying at either the Lodge at Vail or near Vail Village if you choose to stay at an Air BnB. Please note West Vail, Lionshead, Avon or other locations will be quite far from Vail Village. If you decide to stay at another location, please plan to be at the Lodge at Vail before 4:30pm to take the shuttle to the wedding venue.
As much as we love and adore your children, our wedding will be an adults only celebration, with the exception of children in the wedding party. Thank you for understanding!
If you're traveling to Colorado for the wedding, please be aware that the higher elevation can cause altitude sickness for some visitors. Symptoms can include headaches, nausea, shortness of breath, and fatigue. To help prevent altitude sickness, be sure to drink plenty of water before you come to Colorado. Once you arrive in Colorado, limit alcohol intake for the first day or two, get plenty of rest, and give your body time to adjust. If possible, arriving a day early can really help with acclimation.
