What started as a friendship among a tight-knit group of friends slowly grew into something much more. We met about four years ago through mutual friends and quickly became part of the same core friend group. It wasn’t until early 2024 that something shifted, Jacob began to see Callie in a new light. A few months (and two international trips!) later, Callie started to feel the same way. Our first date was at PopStroke for what was supposed to be a friendly game of mini golf. Callie ended up winning both rounds, Jacob claims nerves and gentlemanly conduct were to blame for his “loss,” but we’ll let you decide. From there, things moved quickly and naturally. Callie knew it was love when Jacob joined the McCausland family in Alabama for a weekend of Auburn football and fit in like he’d always been part of the crew. For Jacob, it was their first trip together to Indianapolis where they explored a new city, Callie met some of his family, and went to a Taylor Swift concert together that sealed the deal. The proposal took place in Mexico, surrounded by love. Jacob flew in Callie’s family and best friend, and after a round of group photos, he dropped to one knee and asked the question. She said yes! Our relationship has been filled with laughter, adventure, and deep connection. Jacob brings a calming presence into Callie’s life, and Callie’s thoughtfulness and care light up Jacob’s world. Together, we balance each other perfectly and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter.
