Both the ceremony and the reception will be at the Bald Rock Lodge at Cheaha State Park. It is a large building built in 1922 from the CCC of the New Deal era and located right off the mountain with a gorgeous view. We encourage people to walk on the boardwalk to the lookout spot and appreciate our beautiful planet.
TBD: leaning towards 4:30 PM for the ceremony and 6:30 for the reception (though this is subject to change closer to the event).
Yes! The Bald Rock Lodge has parking onsite, please drive up the mountain until you see wedding decorations and a parking lot. Guests not staying overnight in the Park will need to pay for an admission pass when they arrive ($5/pp, $2 for seniors over 62 and kids 4-11, but it's free for military/veterans and children 3 and younger).
Any color but white. Cocktail/semiformal is the attire. We want y'all to feel and look good! Early October tends to be warm during the day and cooler at night.
Shiki Thai and Sushi- one of our favorite restaurants! We aim to have vegetarian, nut free, and gluten free options as well.
We’re so excited to celebrate with you, but due to limited space at our venue, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. The names of all invited guests will appear on the RSVP form. Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to enjoy this special day with our closest friends and family!
Unless your fabulous little one is listed on the RSVP, please know they are loved but not invited. We kindly ask those with children who were invited to 1) step away from the ceremony if they are being disruptive, 2) watch them during the entire event, and 3) understand that after 8:30 p.m., the reception will be for adults only.
We have hired an amazing photographer who will be taking hundreds of photos throughout the entire event, which will be shared through a link. During the ceremony, please refrain from using your phones and silence them. Phones and videos can be taken before and after the ceremony.
Since it is a bit of a drive for folks, we recommend staying onsite at the State Park or at a hotel in Oxford for the night. The brand new hotel in the park should be accepting reservations soon. The wedding party and family will stay on site.
