Question

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

Answer

It will be outdoors! The ceremony will be on grass (weather permitting) and the reception will be under a shelter.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Immediately following the ceremony the bridal party will be taking pictures. Meanwhile, others will go to the reception spot and will receive instructions to get their food shortly after they arrive.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! Please let us know as soon as possible by “RSVP”ing “no” so that we may plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early so that we can make sure everyone is there and we are able to start.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There will be a small grass lot on site for guests to park. It is free to park here. There will also be a shuttle taking guests to and from the Sleep Inn and Holiday Inn Express (both located in Albemarle) throughout the entire day.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Your invitation should include the words “and family” or list their names if we have included your little ones in our count! When RSVPing please make sure to include them if they are coming (or if you are looking for a getaway date night you may want to exclude them).

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we would love to have everyone at our wedding, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We do have hotel blocks! We have them at the Holiday Inn Express as well as the Sleep Inn. We have heard excellent things about both hotels! There will be a shuttle to and from these hotels and the venue.

Do I need to mail back my RSVP or do it online?

Answer

You can do either! We prefer online so that we can have it all in one place, but we are fine with either.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We will have both food and drinks available. We will serve a full meal.

Can I take pictures at the event and post them to social media?

Answer

While we do ask that you keep your phones and cameras put away during the ceremony, we would love for you to take pictures afterwards and during the reception! If you post them to social media use our hashtag (#sweetonsmith) so that we can see our day through your eyes!

Answer

We would love to know your guest's name! It will be helpful to us when thinking about seating. You can text either Callie or Daniel to let them know their name or email them at danielcallie33@yahoo.com!

My name was misspelled. What should I do?

Answer

We are so sorry! Let one of us know the correct spelling and we will get that fixed so that it will be correct at the wedding.
