What does garden party formal attire mean?

Answer

Garden party attire is whimsical, dressy, and designed to be worn outdoors. It typically falls somewhere between a semi-formal dress code and cocktail attire, with breezy silhouettes and pastel colors that take inspiration from the surrounding blooms. This isn’t the time for dark hues or heavy fabrics! The wedding will be both indoor and outdoor so please dress appropriately. Where should I stay?

Answer

Please refer to the Travel tab for all hotel and inn information. Additionally feel free to check airbnb or vrbo for rentals in the area.

Will there be group transportation from the hotel to the venue?

Answer

A trolley will be available to transport guests staying in the immediate Cazenovia area to and from Windridge Estate. The trolley will be available for the entirety of the posted timeframe.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Help us get the party started as planned. We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.

Where should guests park?

Answer

Guest parking is available on site at the venue.

Will the festivities be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

- The ceremony will be taking place outdoors on the grass, without formal cover. We recommend flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass. Should the weather not be cooperating, we have plans to bring the ceremony indoors. - The cocktail hour will be outside in the belvedere and on the stone patio. - The reception will be indoors in the white barn.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, we want all guests to enjoy themselves and drink responsibly.

Will there be food?

Answer

Yes, there will be a grazing table along with passed appetizers during cocktail hour. The formal dinner will be served family style with a range of desserts to follow. If you have dietary restrictions please list them in your RSVP.

Can I take photos?

We kindly ask that you keep our ceremony “unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos - we want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day.

We have accounted for all little ones in our guest count, so please refer to your RSVP.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation envelope or the RSVP page as that dictates if you have a plus one. While we would love to include those you love as well, we have a headcount cap we need to play within and we appreciate your understanding.
