"I've loved you since we were 17"-A.W.

Callan and Adam have known each other since they were eight years old. Growing up a few miles down the road and doing age group swimming together, they've been a part of each other's lives for quite some time. They were always close friends, and at times were interested in becoming more, but the timing was never right. A few years after college, they reconnected in Pittsburgh. Upon that reconnection, they made it a point to see each other regularly while living in different cities. During this time, Callan traveled abroad for a number of months and completed her master's degree in Erie. After graduating, Callan moved to Pittsburgh (with no job) to live with Adam and start their relationship. Two years later, on Callan's 30th birthday, Adam proposed at one of their favorite parks overlooking the city!

C: Definitely his ability to see the good in everything. He is easy going and is always such a positive and calming presence for me. A: I love her attitude and tenacity. When she wants to do something she just does it.

C: I love to go camping together! We don't do much - mostly hang around in our tree hammocks, read, and float around the lake in our inflatable kayak (eating cornichons and cheese). I also like that we have to work together on so many aspects of the trip. A: I really enjoy going camping with Callan. I just like to hang out in the hammocks with her out in the woods. It's nice.

C: Going to Yosemite together. It was my fourth time, and Adam's first. It was really cool to see him in awe of everything just as I'd hoped. We also hiked to the top of Glacier Dome and ate sandwiches on top of the world! A: The night we went to the Christmas bar was such a fun night. We got a bunch of free drinks, seats in a packed house, and the bartenders were pouring peppermint schnapps in our mouths. Someone also gave us free tickets to the orchestra that was about to start so we went there afterwards. Everything went our way that night.

C: I'm really looking forward to buying our first home. We have moved so many times over the last few years and I can't wait to have a place to call our own and start the next chapter! A: Buying a house! I can't wait until we have a home together and can make a space our own.
