We've met each other a few times at some parties or randomly in the Falcon Center through mutual friends. We didn't really start talking to each other until the beginning of a new semester where some of Tyler's friends convinced him to take a Folklore class and show up late to the class. I was taking the class as well and showed up early. So seeing that his friends didn't show up yet, Tyler decided to sit next to me and we started talking. Even when class was over, we continued talking and neither of us wanted the conversation to end. After that, we kept talking and hanging out together and the rest is history.
