Sometimes love finds you when you least expect it—but exactly when you're ready for it. Believing that God’s timing is never wrong, we each took a leap of faith—trusting that the right person might be just beyond the familiar. One swipe right was all it took to start the story we’d both been waiting and praying for. From Britt’s very first message, I could tell he was different—genuine, kind, intentional. He made me laugh, carried conversation with ease, and asked thoughtful questions. He even invited me to the Iron Bowl for our first date, though I had to politely decline for my nephew’s birthday party. Britt still brings that up with a grin to this day. Throughout November, we texted constantly. By December, we were on long phone calls, and soon after, nightly FaceTimes. Our first call lasted over two hours, and we never once ran out of things to say. We finally met in person on New Year’s Eve. Britt offered to “just hang out with my friends”—which I didn’t have plans for yet! In a flurry, I called my best friend Ashley, who graciously hosted a get-together to help ease the nerves. I was more nervous than I’d ever been. Friends commented that they had never seen me at a loss for words. I just wanted everything to go perfectly—because I already knew how special this felt. From that night on, we were all in. We spent every weekend together that we could—whether in Brandon, Enterprise, or adventuring to the mountains or the Gulf Coast. When we weren’t together, we were FaceTiming for hours, rarely ending a day without seeing each other’s faces. One night during a call, I told Britt I was starting The Bible Recap—a plan to read through the entire Bible. Without hesitation, he said, “Let’s do it together.” That moment meant the world to me. I had prayed for a partner who would chase after God alongside me—and here he was. We dated with purpose and loved with intention. It wasn’t long before we knew—this was forever. When Britt got down on one knee, it was the easiest “yes” of my life. As the song says, “Forever will never be long enough for me, to feel like I've had long enough with you.” Our love story may have taken its time to begin, but once it did, our love unfolded effortlessly—every moment leading us to the one that matters most: the beginning of our forever. We’re so thankful for God’s perfect timing—and for the joy of saying, finally, “I have found the one whom my soul loves."
