Wedding Party

Alexis Cardenas

Bride

Cassidy Baesman

Groom

Katie Williams

Matron of Honor

Katie and I met over 10 years ago at a party of mutual friends. Although we didn't realize it that night, Jehovah provided us with a lifelong friend. I always appreciate Katie's honesty and loyalty as a friend. She will crack a quick joke out of nowhere, and where you were once crying with sadness you cry from laughter. We have shared many sleepovers and travel adventures. It was no question that I would choose Katie as my Matron of Honor. Just earlier this year we got to be a part of Julian and her big day! I am happy she is sharing this next adventure with me by my side.

John Akers

Best Man

I met John when I moved back to Warwick in 2017. I remember meeting him and thinking, “that's a cool guy. I want to be his friend”. Fast forward to today, we are always together. During the pandemic it wouldn’t be out of the norm to spend most of my free time with him, hiking and grilling. This would usually lead to endless debates about Star Wars, or other movies and games. And this would end, at least 2 times a week with me falling asleep on his couch watching Episode 9… the worst one. However, John has always been there to offer advice or to just relax. When he married last year, I gained another sister in Amanda. I am so happy to have them in our lives.

Ana Heredia

Bridesmaid

Ana and I were assigned to work with each other two years ago for the Warwick fiber project. Although we liked each other, we were both hesitant about working together XD. But we soon turned out to be a good duo! We not only knew each other on a work level but are now close friends. Only a good friend will tell you you’re amazing and then rip apart your wardrobe in one fell swoop! I can always talk to Ana, have her listen, and receive sound advice. I'm glad Jehovah brought the two of us together.

Chris Redmond

Groomsman

Chris was one of the first guys I met in Warwick Laundry. You have a question about Excel, anything spiritual, or how to design and program machines to wash 400 pounds of dirty clothes, he is your guy. He taught me much of what I know about laundry, but also taught me how to be a team player. His line, “What are we? A team. We win together, we lose together,” often rings in my head when I'm working with others. While some of his more detailed lessons have put me to sleep, Chris is an ice cream eating, Taylor Swift singing, TV watching, all around good guy.

Jazmin Atkinson

Bridesmaid

Jazmin and I met commuting at Bethel over 2 years ago on the Warwick fiber project. We have spent many nights staying up late talking, going to the sauna, and dancing the night away. When I needed a place to crash for the night, her place was always open. We even became roommates for a short period of time. Boy was it fun! She is more than just enjoyable to be around; she’s a true friend, always there to help and offer spiritual encouragement.

Nicholas Hoover

Groomsman

Oh Nick... He taught me the other half of the things in Laundry. Especially how to treat the people you work with… and snacks are always an important thing to have. We worked together for about five years and roomed together for about 1.5 of those years. Nick is my gamer and foodie friend. It’s not uncommon for us to take a day off to just eat and hang out. This usually ends with us staying up late to play that one last level of a game…

Cassandra Charles

Bridesmaid

Cassandra and I met when my family and I were serving in Cherry Lane Tagalog, and she was assigned from SKE to that congregation. We became fast pioneer partners and close friends. We had so much fun going to dance parties, late night McDonalds runs, and last-minute meet-ups. But I always appreciated her candid advice and listening ear. She wasn't afraid to tell me where I was wrong but also made sure I felt loved by her. Even far away in a new assignment, we still consistently talk on the phone, and she has become a great big sister!

Garet Bonebrake

Groomsman

The bane of my existence… When Garet came to Bethel, I couldn’t stand him. However, that was a long time ago. Garet and I went through the trenches together and came out the other side. We have worked closely for many years. While I have only fallen asleep on his couch once, we have traveled together, worked secularly together, roomed together, were there for each other's engagements, and now will be in each other's weddings. We all need a friend with the courage to do anything. His wife Lexi and he are those friends.

Amanda Arteaga

Bridesmaid

Amanda is the friend I’ve had the longest. We met more than 15 years ago at a friend’s party, where she and her sister took an interest in a shy girl who didn't know how to socialize with people her own age. Over the years, we have kept in contact, having long calls, sleeping in each other's places (mostly me on their couch), and seeing each other whenever possible. We can always talk about books, TV shows, movies, and just life. I always appreciate how Amanda would tell me things I wasn't always ready to hear but comfort me when I needed it. Gabe (her husband) and Amanda have always felt like family and a second place to call home. You know it's a good friend when you can sit in silence and just read a book!

Jonathan Longwill

Groomsman

ast but certainly not least, Jonathan. Have you ever met someone and realized that this is going to be a friend that you will have forever? While his family and mine go back to when I was young, Jonathan came to Bethel a little over two years ago. But he, Alexis, and I easily hit it off. We share many of the same hobbies and interests. Having him part of our wedding party was an easy decision to make. Loyal without question, always happy to help, and loved by many.
