Rob knew the perfect person to enlist for his sneaky mission to deceive Calen: her sister and all time bestie, Christienne. They called it Operation Nostril Flare. Christienne invited Calen and Rob out for a double date on Lake Minnetonka. While Calen and Rob were en route to the lake, Christienne texted Calen about an unfortunate medical mishap that would delay their double date plans. Little did Calen realize, there was no medical mishap, and this was all part of the plan. As Rob and Calen made their way onto the boat, Christienne was behind the scenes retrieving Calen’s dog, Poppy, and setting up a romantic scene back at the dock for their return to shore. While on the boat, Rob asked Calen to check for weeds at the front of the boat, and when Calen couldn’t find any and turned back to Rob, he was down on one knee and popped the question. The rest is history! They headed back to shore for another surprise: dessert and champagne set up by Christienne and Poppy. After many hugs and photos, Calen and Rob shared a romantic dinner at Cov over phone calls and FaceTimes from excited loved ones.
