Mindi is Renee's cousin and life-long closest friend. They have been like sisters ever since they were babies. The family joke is that Mindi is the reason Renee was born: Renee's mom saw her brother's adorable new baby girl and gave birth to a baby girl of her own exactly 9 months later.

They have taken BFF trips together, been to each others family gatherings, and fangirled way too hard over Twilight together (still do).
