How We Met

Online Dating Finally Paid Off...

If you asked Ben, we met after he returned a rogue sock from a laundromat dryer and politely asked for Morgan’s number. If you ask Morgan, she took one for the team and started experimenting with Facebook Dating to see if it was worth her friends signing up. We swiped right on each other, and the rest is history.

Our First Date Story

Pho Real...

After swiping right and talking for five straight hours on the phone, Ben asked Morgan out on a proper date. We met at Miss Siagon's in Nashville, one of Ben's favorite places to grab Pho. Ironically, pho is one of the foods Morgan refuses to eat in public, let alone on a first date.... but she agreed and nervously practiced her chopstick skills (Ben was not impressed). After pho, Ben took her to Baskin Robins to get the "full scoop" on her. Ice cream led to grabbing beers at a local brewery, where after enough liquid courage, we shared our first kiss. When recapping the night with her friend, Morgan said, "I think this one is going to be around for a while...".

The Engagement

She got a rock in the Rockies

Coincidentally, we both share an April birthday, and instead of exchanging gifts, we planned a trip to Denver, Colorado, adding a day hiking the Rockies to the itinerary. After a couple of miles hike, we ended up at Dream Lake. Though the lake was frozen over, it was a popular and heavily trafficked photo op area. Ben was anxiously "taking a breather" waiting for the crowd to clear so he could pop the question. After a few minutes and countless other tourists arriving, he finally pulled Morgan back on the empty trail where he offered her water and asked her if he could ask her "another question"... yep, you guessed it, "Will you marry me?". Through a mix of tears and laughter, she said yes. The crowd finally cleared out and we shared a moment at the lake that will forever melt their hearts. The only thing higher than the elevation that day was our love and excitement for the future.
