The first time Caity saw Micah was in January 2011, when she was 20 years old and living in Santa Cruz going to college. Micah's band, Glitter Wizard, was performing at an old haunted hotel in the mountains. Caity admits that she came for the other band on the bill (Dead Meadow), but was pleasantly perplexed by the opening band, who she was discovering for the first time that night. Micah was dressed as a dead little victorian girl that night, whiting out his face, blacking out his eyes and sporting a prairie dress and gyrating about the stage. Caity was absorbing this strange man and fun music. She noticed they had the same haircut at the time and thought that was amusing. Over the next 8 years, Micah and Caity would continue to cross paths at shows and parties in San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Oakland; never truly noticing each other, but knowing of the others existence in some peripheral way. It wasn't until one night in November 2017, when they again ended up at the same show, and the timing was right. Caity almost didn't make it that night; she was tired from working late the night before, and had to go to work again late that night. She decided to swing by the show for an hour and make an appearance, before heading off to tend bar at Thee Parkside. At last, Micah and Caity both happened to be single at the same time. Caity spotted a friend, Greg, standing at the bar, who was standing next to Micah. She approached to say hi and the trio started chatting. Micah was intrigued. Caity felt a vibe. She departed from the show for work. Micah asked Greg about Caity. Who is she? Is she single? Later that night, Greg showed up around Thee Parkside with a question for Caity- "What do you think about Micah?" to which she responded with that she thought he was CUTE and told him to give Micah her number. Micah was 3 hours late for their first date, and Caity almost bailed, but she stuck around because her friends had vouched for Micah being a good guy. While she was waiting for Micah, she basically inadvertently went on another date with a guy who sat at the bar next to her. They ended up chatting for while, ending in him asking for her number. She said she was waiting for someone else. When Micah finally did show up, he was very apologetic and had a good reason; bought her drinks all night and let her look through his record collection. They listened to Fleetwood Mac "Future Games" and kissed for the first time. The rest is history.
