Haleakalā National Park
See Maui from 10,000ft! One of the most stunning sunsets on island. Be prepared and dress warm - it is around 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit up there when the sun sets! Give yourself plenty of time to get to the very top and get a parking spot. It is $25/vehicle to enter the National Park.
Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery
Awesome place for a beautiful upcountry sunset! They have a great menu, big grassy lawn with dual ocean views & delicious cocktails.
Makena Beach
Makena Beach State Park is one of Maui's signature beaches. With white sands extending nearly 2/3 of a mile long, it is one of the largest, undeveloped beaches in Maui. The shorebreak can be quite intense here, and may not be well suited to novice swimmers or children. There are lifeguards on-site until 4:30pm. They are very friendly and happy to inform you about the conditions of the beach. *Please protect our reefs! Only use sunscreen with zinc and/or titanium dioxide*
Ho'okipa Beach Park
Ho'okipa is a world renowned windsurfing and surfing beach! In the winter months, it is common to see huge swell roll in - double or triple overhead. This is also a very popular spot to see the Hawaiian Green Honu (aka sea turtles.) Please DO NOT touch the turtles or get within 10ft of them. Respect the wildlife or you can get a $10,000 fine! *Please protect our reefs! Only use sunscreen with zinc and/or titanium dioxide*
