Our Story
2016
How It All Began
We meet in October at a tailgate during our freshman year at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. After discovering we’ve been living on the same dorm hall for two months without crossing paths, we quickly become friends and start dating a month later.
2017
Adventures in Virginia
We explore the Blue Ridge area with trips to Roanoke, Richmond, and countless hikes. Our weekends are filled with Liberty University football and basketball games. Noah takes a job at a summer camp in Maryland (where Caitlyn attended as a preteen!) just to be closer during summer break.
2018
Growing Together
We spend countless hours in the library, double down as Disney Adults with two trips in one year, and serve in Student Government together. Noah completes a summer internship in DC, keeping us close even when apart on summer break.
2019
New Chapters Begin
We graduate college (summa cum laude, of course!) and dive into long-distance. Noah moves to Montgomery, Alabama for work, and Caitlyn is crowned Miss Maryland. Visits become special occasions and often for pageant appearances, including Noah driving through the night to meet Caitlyn in Western Maryland for a parade.
2020
A Year of Change
The world slows down and so do our visits as long-distance continues in a pandemic. We traveled when possible with a Southeast road trip that includes swimming with manatees and plenty of beach days. Later, we shorten the distance a little, with long distance between South Carolina and Maryland.
2021
New Cities, New Adventures
Noah moves to NYC while Caitlyn starts grad school at SCAD in Savannah, Georgia. We road trip through New England, even driving Caitlyn’s Kia Soul up Mt. Washington.
2022
Settling In
Long-distance between NYC and Savannah continues, but we embrace our new homes and routines, becoming locals in two incredibly special (and opposite) cities.
2023
Distance, Continued
NYC to Savannah long distance continues but with frequent visits to each other. Caitlyn finishes her M.F.A., and we end the year with plenty of travel—by plane, train, automobile...and boat!
2024
The Year of Us
A record year! We trek through the Arctic Circle and see the northern lights in Finland. We spend lots of time together in NYC. And we get engaged! Noah surprises Caitlyn with a road trip to the Castle Hill Lighthouse in Rhode Island, proposing at sunrise.
2025
The Best Day Yet
On August 22, we say “I do” and celebrate the best day of our lives with all our favorite people!!!
Some Things We Love
(in no particular order):
Each other. AMC movie pass. Travel. NYC. Our families and friends. Spur of the moment road trips. Tiny apartments. Excessively long walks. Sending each other too many Instagram reels. Trying to stay awake to watch SNL. Songs that make us cry. Dancing at weddings.
