20th of June || 2026

It was the fall of 2016. Love was in the air. Nick, who had known Caitlyn since childhood from playing basketball, asked her to go to a music concert. Nick, a bit nervous, let his friend Marc sit in the back seat with Caitlyn on the way to the concert, while he rode shotgun and his friend Matt drove. On the way home, Matt got the car stuck on a rock while driving out of the dirt parking lot. They had to pull out the low jack and lift the car off the rock to give the tires enough traction to drive away. Nick thought his chances were slipping—Caitlyn had joined a crew of doofuses. Little did he know, that night would change his life forever. The next day, Nick asked Caitlyn if she wanted to go on their first official date—and history began to write itself. For their very first date, Nick took them to MidiCi and the Santa Monica Pier. They had the best pizza, and to this day, it’s still one of their favorite pizza spots. After that night, they never stopped hanging out and became best friends, which slowly turned into love. There wasn’t a doubt in Nick’s mind that Caitlyn was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and soon after, they made it official. They spent their days chasing sunsets at every beach possible, wine tasting in one of their favorite places—Santa Barbara—and trying every new food and dessert spot that popped up. Fast forward nine years, and Nick knew the timing was right. He had already planned where he wanted to propose years earlier, during a weekend trip to Laguna Beach. They had watched one of the most beautiful sunsets they’d ever seen while talking about life, the future, and what they wanted together. The day finally came, and surrounded by family and friends, Nick surprised Caitlyn at the same beach they’d spent hours at years before. He got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Nick and Caitlyn have built a life full of incredible memories, lots of laughs, and endless adventures. But some of the most meaningful moments along the way have been shared with each and every one of you.
