Nick and Caitlyn met through PT school at the University of Lynchburg. They were best friends and in the same study group throughout all of school. They ended up both being placed for final clinical rotations in Jacksonville Florida were their friendship continued to grow. As graduation and boards got closer they would spend several hours each weekend at coffee shops studying. The day before graduation Nick asked Caitlyn to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!!
Nick and Caitlyn both share a love for Disney! Together they planned a long weekend trip at the end of April to go explore the parks, little did Caitlyn know the big day would occur! On Thursday April 25th, Nick picked Caitlyn from work and the began their journey down to Disney Springs for “830 dinner reservations.” They arrived, parked and began to make their way towards the restaurant. Nick began sprinting across the park towards a bridge stating they needed to see a balloon take off and then they would head to dinner. Caitlyn slowly moseyed behind annoyed and hangry. They arrived to the twinkly bridge where three girls approached Caitlyn asking her to take their picture. Nick grumbled that they did not have time for this but Caitlyn took their picture anyways. After Caitlyn asked if the girls would take their photo. As Nick and Caitlyn got in position Nick pulled away, got down on one knee, and asked Caitlyn if she would spend the rest of her life with him. She of course said YESSS!! Out of the blue Caitlyn’s parents, sister and Mamaw came running out of their hiding spot surprising Caitlyn. Nick had coordinated with them to be there on their special day and spend the rest of the weekend enjoying an amazing engagement trip!!
