Maid of Honor
Kerry and I may have technically first met either in Ireland or London when we were both abroad, or it could have been earlier at a football game, or maybe during our spring break in Punta Cana, regardless we were destined to be buddies and we kicked off our friendship during our post-college adventures in D.C.! Notre Dame and our stacks of mutual friends linked us, but living and working together in Washington sealed the deal! I'm currently still hoping Georgetown doesn't push her too far into government because our future joint law firm already has swag designed. Fun fact: Kerry and Nick's friendship started about 3 years before Beauchamp & Walsh's! Interests: Airplanes, Lincoln and Ghosts
Best Man
Friends since (Matt's) birth, Nick feels fortunate to share most of his genes with his best man. Unfortunately, Nick did not get all of the sports genes, and Matt wound up being the pro golfer of the family. Still, Nick likes to remind people of a particular three putt that gave Nick the victory in their last round that they competitively played against each other (...and likes to forget that this was when Matt was 12). Matt is the personality yin to Nick's yang, but has welcomed Caitlyn into the family with equal gusto. Interests: golf, Emily, endeavoring to become a foodie.
Bridesmaid
Annie and Zeeks are not only some of our best (-->) buddies. And fortunately for us, we know we’ll have this and when you see us in February they’ll be story and it’s been awesome going through this Annie has been there since the beginning of the PDub days when we were baby weasels, since she adopted me as a friend down the hall, and as we learned how to survive in the trenches of our respective mens' house. We loved Annie (and David's) close proximity in Baltimore while in D.C., and some of our favorite long-distance visits were when we got to share our weekends with Annie exploring the DMV (and as she's accurately said, testing out all the taquerias in the area). She's always going to be a favorite friend and a fave travel buddy for ND Games, Earth Wind & Fire, and the beach.
Groomsman
friends, but are also probably our first couple them for life because between the time you read hitched! These two are another Notre Dame love journey with them! Zeeks is a gentleman, a scholar, and a Ravens fan. He's been a real best friend since the Notre Dame days, even despite some philosophical differences about the Steeler's merits (and some philosophical agreement about Mike Tomlin's inadequacies as a coach). This guy is known to make everyone feel like a million bucks and to make you bust out laughing. He's also known to have a voracious appetite for Aunt Mary Beth's pasta sauce, especially when preceded by South Dining Hall baguettes (plural). His declarations of love for Annie has set a high bar for men everywhere, and we're excited to have him with us.
Bridesmaid
Alex has been a best friend and part of the package deal since she first moved to Florida back in 3rd grade. We've been two peas in a pod through track & field (emphasis on the field, Alex was a gifted high jumper), soccer (beginning from my stint as a Lunachick until being senior co-captains), and everything else high school threw our way. She's always been the tall blonde to my short brunette, is a solid karaoke, trivia and dance partner, and is a true forever friend. Our Florida to New York distance hasn't slowed us down, and we were so grateful that she made it up this January to help celebrate our engagement! You'll likely be able to find her on the dance floor giving Nick a run for his money for the "best dance moves" award.
Groomsman
Caitlyn's not-so-little brother Zack will be on-call* through the wedding. Zack's witty, dry humor keeps us all on our toes, and his ability to tan has always made Caitlyn jealous. Zack has been Caitlyn's number one since his day one. He's also known to still be able to recite all the civics things their mom had them memorize in kindergarten, belt out some Shania Twain "Man, I Feel Like A Woman," and give Nick a run for his money on the golf course. *Disclaimer: First year medical students, in our experience, are very good at checking your reflexes, eyes, heartbeat and hearing. They are not yet actually good at saving lives, and Nick would suggest they are not yet good at checking for Alzeimher's (mostly because Nick failed the test Zack gave him over Thanksgiving).
Bridesmaid
Marie may be Nick's cousin, but people usually ask if it's her and I who are related or sisters! Which makes sense, because she's more a sister to Nick than anything else, and I can't wait for us to "officially" be family in February! Marie has always felt like family though, and I can't imagine getting married without her standing next to me. Marie has always been an enthusiastic supporter of Notre Dame and had Nick's back in everything he has done, and we can't wait to return the support as she goes into her freshman year at IUP!
Groomsman
Alex is Nick's youngest brother and the only groomsman who is not yet able to drive. The first time Alex met Caitlyn in South Bend (before we were actually dating) and heard her refer to Uncle Lou as "Uncle Lou" and Aunt Mary Beth as "Aunt Mary Beth," he chirped in and asked why she didn't just go ahead and call Luci & Chris "Mom and Dad." Well, here we are and we're finally glad to say Alex's premonitions are coming true! Big Al is a triple threat in golf, baseball, and school and is looking to surpass his two older brothers on all fronts possible. Caitlyn is also grateful he shares the same sweet tooth she does, so you may be able to find them sneaking to the dessert table together at some point during the reception.
Bridesmaid
Kathryn is the blonde of the Annie-Kathryn-Caitlyn future brides club, and the first member of the club to meet her future hubby. She's also part of the Notre Dame representation, fellow PDub alum, Mendoza alum, and the only fellow New Yorker in the gang! The move from DC to NYC was made easier in (a very) large part because I knew I had Kathryn up here (who is now also a fellow Upper West sider)! From the good ole days of Irish tailgates when she led the charge on getting the girls together, to our current Bachelorette "watches" and double dates in the city, I've been lucky to get even more Kathryn in my life!
Groomsman
Adam, aka Bear, aka Mr. Bear, has been a fan favorite of Nick+Caitlyn since the Domer Days. Bear has been a loyal friend and fellow Notre Dame enthusiast ever since he and Nick both had the pleasure of calling Fisher Hall home. Bear is Nick's only friend who is a member of the ND Monogram Club and certified Notre Dame Athletic Issue-Gear Recipient, thanks to his ability to save our seasons with his tape. Bear's workout plan is helping Nick get his wedding bod ready, and we can pass along contact information for interested parties. You can currently find him in Chicago where we think he plays with cars.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey has been a constant fixture in my life since the early days of Martha Manson for Kindergarten through senior graduation at Oak Hall! Our early days running around at PE and enjoying our freeze pops in elementary school locked in a lifelong friendship with this girl that has lasted ever since. Also, without Kelsey I would have never had the most basics in college because without fail, every year she came over and helped me pack up for the year in South Bend, IN and gave a reassuring send-off! She's currently loving life in Atlanta as an all-star event planner, which makes sense since she hosted basically every Florida Gator tailgate we went to growing up. You can expect her to provide excellent wine pairing advice, but she charges one drink from the open bar for her service.
Groomsman
This guy, fellow Coward, and ultimate inheritor of the Fisher Friendship Van, has been a buddy since the early Notre Dame days. The only Chicago native on this list, Cam's humble midwestern values has brought a sense of stability and moral direction to the gentleman of Fisher and this group. Don't let his accounting background fool you though, Cam is an interesting guy. Quick-witted and ever-ready for a good zing, better be on your toes or Cam will hit you with a roast. He also though, is a great friend who braved a blizzard and a cancelled flight to high-tail it to NYC to help celebrate our engagement. But this wasn't a surprise, because Cam always has had our backs and never misses a good party. Fun fact: Cam can beat Vin Diesel in a footrace.
Bridesmaid
Emily also thinks one of the Holuta boys is cute, but her love interest is the Best Man in our wedding. Her and Matt have been our original couple buddies, and Emily and I have both spent the past 5+ years learning how to be a part of the Holuta family together. She's about to become a fellow Floridian, and I'm not so secretly jealous she's going to be enjoying the Sunshine state in the next few months! We've loved our trips to visit her in Philly, trips to Stone Harbor for Thanksgiving, and holidays in Indiana, PA the past few years, and can't wait for all our future adventures!
Groomsman
Erik is another member of the Fisher Hall alumni club, but with even more force since he is the former dorm Hall President. Erik's community engagement extended socially, as he volunteered to host (and join) Nick and Caitlyn's first movie date, "Space Balls," in his dorm room. He's also carrying on the community engagement because he's about to be a DOUBLE DOMER and head to ND for his MBA, so we're excited to crash at his place for future game weekends. Erik's been a great friend, from the Bookstore Basketball days to the 4 bunk-bed quad set up to celebrating our NYC engagement, and we're really glad he's going to be a part of the celebration next year! Fun fact: Some good ways to start conversation with this Wisconsin native is by mentioning cheese curds or Culver's.
