Groom's Recommendation: Caitlyn & I did a version of Top Golf at Chelsea Piers in NYC for date night this summer where she smoked the "golfers" in the bay next to us. For those of you who haven't been to Top Golf, it's a lot of fun. Beers, friends, nice weather, golf, no walking -- what more could you want? Oh right, an outdoor terrace with a fire pit, rooftop bar, and restaurant...? They have that too. Enjoy!
To be honest, we haven't actually convinced Nick to go here. We've learned he's a little skittish about Florida wildlife, and he was not excited about the opportunity to zipline over a pit of alligators. The Alligator Farm is in St. Augustine, Florida and we'd recommend it if you're already making your way to St. Aug to enjoy the beach, some wineries, a ghost tour of the Old Town while you're in the neighborhood!
Home of The Players Championship, aka the "5th Major". Even if you don't play, it's a good spot to go checkout the clubhouse as well as eat lunch and watch on the back patio as the "world's biggest Rickie Fowler fan" or the "next Tiger" dunks it into the water on 18.
Our favorite restaurant that we've frequented during wedding planning trips.
Great restaurant we've discovered during wedding planning that is very close to the PVInn.
Their website says it better than we could, and we 100% agree with it all: "The exquisite Columbia Restaurant sits in the heart of St. Augustine in the historic district of the nation’s oldest city, which was founded in 1565. Award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine with rooms filled with hundreds of hand-painted tiles and Spanish-style fountains."
Recommended for the guest in tune with the supernatural: Like other St. Augustine attractions, Nick hasn't quite worked up the courage to take this on - so if someone could verify its not too scary, Caitlyn would really appreciate it. But, since it is the oldest city, St. Augustine is obviously very haunted. We aren't familiar with this specific company, but several ghost tours are very kid-friendly!
