Our story began on an ordinary Sunday.... We were both strangers about to meet and sit across from one another at a local Brewery in Woodstock, Georgia. Caitlyn told herself she'd stay for an hour. Maybe two. She had never been on a blind date before and she had run through every excuse to cancel because she was so nervous. But something inside of her told her to go. And then Michael stepped out of his jeep.... lanky and soft smiled wearing a Nirvana t-shirt of course. There was a steadiness about him, a calm confidence.... Caitlyn felt it immediately and there was an ease she can't explain. We sat down for what was supposed to be a simple first date, but hours disappeared as we talked about life, childhood, movies, and the families that shaped us. By the time we finally noticed the time, the sun had already set and the staff was closing the Brewery for the night. It felt as if God had placed his hands around that tiny corner of the world and said "something important is happening here" And something was. From that Sunday on, life began weaving us together. Over the years, we've become each other's favorite place to land. We've learned to show up honestly, imperfectly, wholeheartedly. What began as a nervous first date has become the greatest chapter of our lives. And now somehow we've reached the page where we get to say "yes" to forever. We're so excited to celebrate with all of you who have loved us, shaped us and walked alongside us through every part of the story.
