James and Caitlyn met in the most unlikely of places… the internet! What started as a casual attempt at online dating turned into a deep and beautiful bond between the two after meeting in person on July 4, 2021. After James eventually asked Caitlyn to be his girlfriend on August 21 of the same year, they developed an incredible love with boundless laughter, amazing adventures, and countless precious moments. From thrift shopping, to late nights watching movies, to a trip to Disney World, they could not think of anyone better to do life with than each other. In September of 2025, the two decided to dedicate themselves to close discipleship with The Lord. To honor Christ in their personal lives, relationship with each other, and everyone they meet on a daily basis. With Jesus being the catalyst, on December 29, 2025 James finally asked Caitlyn to be his wife at one of their favorite vintage restaurants. She said yes! Since then the two have been working hard planning for the day when they will publicly make their covenant before The Lord with their friends and family by their sides.
