Required Reservation to enter Rocky Mountain National Park!

Rocky Mountain National Park continues to use a reservation system to enter all areas of the park. The park is divided into two areas. We would recommend making your reservation for the Bear Lake corridor so you have access to the entire park. You will need a timed entry reservation for each vehicle for each day you plan to enter the park. In addition you will need a daily park permit or an annual park permit. You do not need to have the day permit or annual pass in order to book your timed entry reservation. September reservations will be available August 1st at 10 AM MDT. We highly recommend getting your reservations on August 1st; they will sell out very quickly! You can book all the days you want in September at one time. Very Important Information!

Estes Park is a popular destination for travelers, especially in the fall! We highly recommend booking your lodging sooner rather than later! There are not many big hotels in Estes Park so the lodges can fill up quickly! We recommend staying at Fall River Village because we will not be providing a shuttle to and from any other hotels in the area. Lyft and Uber do not have a big presence in Estes Park, so do not rely on using those services. That being said, please feel free to stay wherever works best for you. Below are several other hotel options within walking distance or a short drive away. We ask you to please remember drinking at elevation is very different than drinking at sea level and we want all of our guests to be safe! Parking is very limited at Fall River Village so please carpool if possible!

Flight

Denver International Airport

We recommend flying into the Denver airport and then renting a car to drive to Estes Park. The drive from the airport to Estes Park is about an hour and 45 minutes. There is a toll route, but we suggest avoiding that as it will only save you 15 minutes. Here are the general directions: take Pena Boulevard to 70 W to I-270 W to 36 W all the way through Lyons into Estes Park. There is also a shuttle service called Estes Park Shuttle that will drive you to Estes Park and back to the airport for 95 dollars per person. Denver's elevation is 5,280 and Estes Park's is 7,522 so we would recommend arriving early to give you a little time to acclimate!

This hotel is about a 6 minute walk from Fall River Village. There is a 50 dollar cost per additional person beyond the room capacity (two for single bed rooms and four for double bed rooms), including children. The room rate range is 169-229.
