Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris is likely the most convenient for all guests travelling from the US. Orly (ORY) is another international airport located in Paris. We recommend searching all nearby airports when shopping for flights.

Transportation to Chateau de Courtomer

There are several options for transport from Paris to Courtomer. -Car Rental: Cars are very easy to rent either from the airport into which you arrive or in Paris, near all major train stations, if you plan to visit the city before travelling to Normandy. We have found driving in France very easy to navigate (with our phone GPS!) The Chateau is 2.5 hours away from Paris. -Train: It is quite easy to take a train from Montparnasse Station (Gare Montparnasse) in Paris to L'Aigle which is then a 25 minute taxi ride to the Chateau. The train is about 1.5 hours. -Hire Car/Private Transport: It is possible to hire a private driver to pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Paris and bring you directly to the Chateau.

Staying at the Chateau

We have exclusive use of the Chateau for the duration of our stay much like a traditional vacation home rental. This means the only guests on the property will all be from our party, however, this does not allow you to book rooms individually. Anyone wishing to stay on site must book through us to be added onto our contract with the venue. All bedrooms feature private ensuite baths and either double or single occupancy depending on your needs. It also features a fully equipped kitchen, grand salon, reception room, library, billiards room, laundry facilities and extensive grounds. If you would definitely like to stay with us please let us know as soon as possible as there are a limited number of rooms available. As a note, all events surrounding the wedding will take place on site at the Chateau.

There are many great vacation rental options through a variety of sights. We have found going this route quite comfortable especially on a longer trip with many benefits such as kitchen and laundry generally available. One important thing to note is that in Europe we have found most listings are priced per person per night, not per room. We speak from hard earned experience to double and triple check your nightly cost before booking to make sure you what you are expecting to pay matches what your are being charged!
