No, we will have already been married in an intimate ceremony the night before (Friday, May 5th). We want to have a party to celebrate our love, but also the love between family and friends and add a fun spin to it by incorporating the Kentucky Derby. It is technically our 'reception', but more casual than a traditional wedding reception.
There is a small parking lot behind the venue that is free parking. There are also Pay and Display spots on the other side of Panera Bread and across the street in the St. John Arena parking lot. There are also parking garages nearby. Do not park in the Panera Bread Parking lot or in any spaces that require an A, B or C pass. CampusParc will give you a ticket if you do. The party is being held on the patio of the Varsity Club. If you enter from the front of the venue (Lane Avenue facing entrance), you will need to walk through the restaurant and out the back door, located by the women's restroom (back left corner of the restaurant). You can also enter the patio directly on the right side of the building. The patio is covered so weather will not have an impact on the event.
This party is casual and the theme is Kentucky Derby. Some examples of Kentucky Derby attire include pastels, spring colors, bright colors, bowties, hats and fascinators. These are just recommendations, and no dress code is being enforced. Have fun with it!
There are several hotels in the area near the venue. There are also Airbnbs. However, it is commencement weekend for The Ohio State University so booking early is best!
