Nepenthe is perched 800 feet above the ocean with some of the most spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, which you can enjoy while drinking a delicious cocktail and chowing down on their famous Ambrosia Burger.
The owner is originally from the East Coast and has brought his New England Clam Chowder recipe to the Monterey Peninsula. Voted best clam chowder for numerous years, Caitlin thinks this chowder is better than any that she has tried in Massachusetts. Great place to get lunch if you are going to the Monterey Aquarium as it is 3 blocks away!

Does it even have to be mentioned? YES! Typically Caitlin's first stop when landing in California, In-N-Out is a must if you haven't tried it before. (And if you are looking for a little spice with your burger, ask for chopped chilis!)

Take a beautiful drive around Pebble Beach on 17 Mile Drive where you can see some of the most amazing golf courses in the world, the iconic Lone Cyprus, and even some of Caitlin's past homes (she lived in 3 different homes around Pebble Beach including one next to the Pebble Beach Lodge and one where her neighbor was Alan Shepard!)

Trails lead from the ocean all the way up into the redwoods. Sometimes you get to see seals, whales, and sea otters swimming about!
