You can find our registry by navigating to the "Registry" tab on this webpage. We have registered through a few different sites, but all info is consolidated onto the Registry page.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in black-tie formal attire for the ceremony and reception. WHAT IS BLACK-TIE ATTIRE? For gentlemen, this includes a formal dark suit paired with a crisp white dress shirt with dark dress shoes. A bowtie or a color-matched tie to a formal suit is acceptable. Tuxedos are welcome but not required. For ladies, we recommend floor-length gowns with heels or elegant sandals. DO I HAVE TO WEAR BLACK TO A BLACK-TIE EVENT? No! Absolutely not! "Black Tie" typically refers to the color of the bow tie that goes with the menswear suit only! We do ask that men stick to a dark colored suit or tux and black leather dress shoes. For women, the dress does not have to be black, colors are welcome but kindly avoid wearing white or sage green. WHAT IF I DO NOT OWN OR DO NOT HAVE THE MEANS TO PURCHASE SOMETHING WITHIN THE DRESS CODE? If you don’t already have something that fits the dress code, we recommend borrowing from friends/family, thrifting, or using rental services. Some rental options include: - Generation Tux (simple online suit rentals shipped to your door) - Dimond Tuxedo (in Anchorage for in-person fittings) - Nuuly (women’s rentals) WHAT IF I'M NOT SURE, WHAT SHOULD I AVOID? For women, please avoid dresses shorter than the knee, sundresses, loud patterns & very bright colors, and anything overly revealing. For men, please avoid light & bright suit options, light & loud colors, etc. Additionally, please avoid any athletic wear shoes or sandals, t-shirts, shorts, jeans, flip flops, or anything revealing. WHAT IF I HAVE ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS? Please reach out to a family member on the bride or groom's side for additional clarification if needed. Please avoid reaching out directly to the bride or groom.

Question

What should I expect at a Catholic wedding ceremony?

Answer

Plan on a 90 minute indoor ceremony including traditional Catholic mass practices. Yes, this includes sitting, standing, and kneeling at various parts! We will have programs available at the ceremony with more detailed information for those unfamiliar with the practice. For those not baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church, please do not receive communion. Instead, you may remain seated or if you wish to be blessed by the priest, you may approach the altar, but please cross your arms across your chest in an X which signals to the priest that you are not receiving communion.

Question

Question

Is the reception held at O'Malley on the Green?

Answer

Not exactly, the reception will be located on the property of Anchorage Golf Course in the large tent near the driving range. Please note that there will be another wedding party on the property inside at O'Malley on the Green building. To help avoid confusion, we will have signage directing you around either side of said building to the Walatka Wedding party in the very large white tent.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony and reception. We will have ample professional photographers and videographers to cover the entire wedding. We wish for all guests to enjoy being present in the moment. Should your phone be on you, we ask that you silence all notifications. Additionally, we will have a photo booth available for guests' enjoyment.

Question

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

The reception dinner will be a family-style meal with various allergy friendly options including lactose-intolerant and gluten-free. Please let us know in the reception RSVP if you will require any additional accommodations.

Question

How accessible are the venues?

Answer

The ceremony venue is ADA accessible with no additional stairs surrounding the area.
