Byodo-In Temple
Locally built replica of a Japanese Buddhist temple; very beautiful. Make sure to ring the giant bell!
Iolani Palace
The only official royal residence in the United States! This is a beautiful building and an important piece of Hawaiian history.
Dole Plantation
The preserved site of the Dole pineapple plantation. Take a tour on the train and have a delicious Dole whip ice cream!
Bishop Museum
Hawaiian natural and cultural history museum. Educational and fun!
Polynesian Cultural Center
The closest thing Oahu has to a theme park! Learn about the various Polynesian cultures in a fun and interactive setting!
Lanikai Beach
Lanikai means "heavenly sea," and this is often ranked as one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world!
Mānoa Falls Trail
Relatively easy hike with a beautiful waterfall at the end!
Waimea Valley
Beautiful botanical garden with a paved walk up to Waimea Falls. There are also some cool replica native Hawaiian buildings to see along the way.

This is where Joe and Caitlin live! You can find them there at times. They're busy, so please call ahead!
21 Degrees Estate
The local cacoa farm on Oahu! They do tours, tastings, and occasionally goat yoga! Be sure to book ahead!
Old Pali Road Hike
This is Caitlin's favorite hike on the island! It ends at the Pali Lookout, which you can also get to by car if you like (see the next recommendation). If you're up for taking the adventurous route, though, park near the Ko'olau Golf Club and hike up to the Lookout!
Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout
Beautiful drive-up view of the east side of the island (where Joe and Caitlin live)! Hey, you can see Recommendation #9 from here!
Hanauma Bay
Very popular snorkeling spot! You need to make reservations to go here and they can only be made two days in advance. Be sure to check early morning because they sell out in a flash!
Waikiki Aquarium
Small aquarium located a short walking distance from the Kaimana Beach Hotel. Get to know the fish from the local waters!
