Caitlin's story: I was perusing through the dating website Hinge and laid eyes on a bearded, tall, muscular guy with kind eyes and a great smile and knew I had to "like" his picture. It took him awhile to message back but when he did I knew he was special. I soon found out he was a registered nurse at Vanderbilt and even worked in one of the neighboring ICUs! I was working night shift for the next several nights and he was at MS State for some football weekends (yes we will be a house divided- WAR EAGLE!) so it took awhile before we could have our first date. Our first date was after I had worked night shift the night before and I wasn't in the best mood and even stated that I "hated dating" and would "never get married". Poor guy. But we still had great conversation and a lot of common interests so I knew I wanted him in my life. We continued to talk and the next time we went out I knew I was falling in love with him. Thankful our first date was not our last and now I get to marry my best friend! Jason's story: I had never used an online dating app, but my friend Elena Billy thought it would be a great idea. I told Elena no that's ok and that I will stick to he old fashioned way, but Elena took it upon herself and created a Hinge profile for me while we were at work one night. One night I had this very beautiful girl like one of my pictures! After a few weeks we were able to go on our first date to The Pharmacy. Everything started off great and then as the conversation became more detailed she said she did not want to date or even get married! So it was back to the drawing board for me. After that date I could not stop myself from talking to her and she was the same way. We had this connection that was like no other. We went out again a week later and we were hooked.
