Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

While we hope for a beautiful day, it is springtime in the Midwest so there is no guarantee. A majority of the venue is indoors with the exception of a balcony overlooking the Mississippi. If we are able to be outside, please dress comfortably for the potential heat and sun.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have set aside rooms at the InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront Hotel just down the street from the Science Museum. A link to book a room in our reserved block can be found on the “Travel” page.

Question

Can I bring a plus one or my kid(s)?

Answer

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate extra people and we kindly ask that only guests mentioned on your invitation attend our wedding. This applies to both kids and plus ones. Thank you for making accommodations in advance for your little ones!

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

The Science Museum of Minnesota has its own parking ramp attached to the building. Though parking would normally be paid, parking is free for our wedding guests! A voucher for parking will be provided at the reception so if you need one, feel free to grab one!

Question

The Science Museum is a big building. Where exactly is the wedding going to be?

Answer

We are going to be hosting both the ceremony and reception on the 6th floor of the building. Follow signs for the "Elements Cafe". There will be museum staff that can guide you as well.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, the building is accessible!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We have hired professional photographers to capture our ceremony and reception. We ask that you do not take pictures during the ceremony but please take as many pictures during the reception as you’d like.

Question

Will I have something to eat if I have allergies?

Answer

We are trying to be conscientious of guests dietary needs. If you have any specific concerns, please mention them on your RSVP or to the bride and groom.

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

While gifts are of course not required nor expected, they are very appreciated. If you are planning on giving a physical gift, we ask that they not be brought to the wedding as we are traveling from out of state and won’t have an easy way to transport them home. Our registry has an option for them to be delivered directly to our house for everyone’s convenience.

Question

What should I do the rest of the time that I'm in town?

Answer

Check out our “Things To Do” page to see our ideas for what you can do in the beautiful Twin Cities!
